Suggestions for level 19-21?

Agreed.
This game is so, so flawed.

I don't mind the standard cars, the graphical glitches, the stupid AI, none of that matters to me.

But the structure of this video game, simply as a video game, is absurdly awful.

I'm in the exact same boat you are, Level 20.

Well i enjoy the game, alot. Even though there for about 3 days i could not play due to some sort of glitch that seems to have worked its self out (would freeze instantly on the main scree after downloading the patch for ps3) but the thing that bugs the living hell out of me, is the way you have to buy SO many different cars for say ... 1 event where you make probably 20k credits, but spend around 200-300 buying a car and suping it up ... i dont get that part

I enjoy the driving in this game a lot too.
But the structure of it from a video game designer's standpoint is laughable.

At one point, I'd completed every B-Spec race up to a certain point, but my B-Spec level wasn't high enough to race the next event.

Imagine in Super Mario Bros. if you beat levels 1, 2, and 3, and then they started you back on level 3 again, and then again, and then again, defeating it each time easier than the last, and then finally letting you play Level 4.

10 years? A tad dramatic don't you think. It has been a little less than 6 since GT4 came out. Add in GTHD Concept, GT5, and GTPSP and I am pretty doubtful that those 6 years were all spent on GT5.

But my complaints have nothing to do with how long they worked on the game for.
My complaints are about the simplest thing about constructing a good video game (or book or movie or any other piece of entertainment for that matter).

I golded all the special events except for level 24 Nurb (not unlocked yet), everything up to IA license and up to expert series and I am half-way done level 23.

How are you guys stuck at level 19-20-21 if you finished all the spec events?

I think I might get stuck partway through 24 depending on how much XP I get from the last AMG academy one but with extreme still left I don't see myself getting stuck until probably level 25.

Maybe not everyone is as good as you? I golded all of the karts, all the nascars, silver'd all the nurb ones, and golded the rest, and this is where im at.

Yup, a lot of people complaining about not having things to do, are also the ones who haven't golded everything. There is a TON of XP to be had even from just upgrading some silvers to golds. But that is the thing, you CAN grind to work your way up and that is fine if someone can't gold the stuff, but if you work on those, you can move up much faster.


Muzik: What about the licenses? There is normally a decent XP jump from bronze to silver to gold on those as well.

I'm at level 21 and haven't repeated a race yet. I've only done the B license too! I honestly don't know how your stuck yet. I also have three races coming up which should easily get me to 23 so Yeah, don't know where you went wrong.

There's probably some special events you've missed.

Truthfully, some of us don't have the time/dedication/willingness/want/desire/care to achieve gold medals in the licenses

I actually have more like 4 races. The Nascar championship and the 3 other races unlocked at 22. It is certainly feasible for me to attain 23.

I'm at lv20 and getting golds in licenses gives me absolutely nothing, maybe 3-4% of my XP bar.

I have silver on the first 4 licenses, some are gold, but most are silver, i just cant seem to beat a few of them. All of the special events are gold (excluding the nurb ones, i just cannot seem to get gold on those) all the other special events are complete, the ones i can do anyway. No need to get offended, I didn't mean "How are you guys stuck at level 19-20-21 if you finished all the spec events?" as you guys suck or something, I was just curious because you said you finished everything and I got a ton of XP for finishing them. Anyways, I found the best way to level was to gold everything because it wasn't as boring as winning the same race over and over again (IMO) and I liked the challenge.

Licenses golded don't give much about 200 over silver. Over 60 licenses though that's 12000XP so it adds up. Otherwise Special Events give a load for golds so it might be worth it for the extra cash+XP.

Other than that since you cannot do the American Championship yet then find the highest level race you have an OP car for that you find easy and do it a few times. Aim for the quick tracks like Daytona, Indy, Laguna Seca, High Speed Ring, Tsukuba and avoid tracks like Suzuka, Fuji, Nordschleife (even for only 1 lap since it's about 8 mins) and La Sarthe. The higher level races should give you more XP.

Can I just ask, is it realistic to expect to do the nurburgring 24 hour race by the time Gt6 comes out in this I mean the xp you need to go from levels in the 20+ range is insane, I know everyone is saying its not NFS etc, but come on , even I upgraded all the characters in FF13 to the max and am finding this ridiculous, I hope a dam patch comes out soon to increase XP in races like they done with money in GT5: P otherwise there is no point of playing a-spec much longer.

They should implement a very tiny amount of exp, and credits to online play.

That would give people more interest in playing online, and not forcing people to play the same event vs the AI over, and over.

This is a good idea. When I play online I have fun, but the sense of achievement is much less.

Yep, level 20 sucks. I need one more race to get to 21 finally though. I agree, the structure was not thought out. I should be able to race the next races, but thanks to a level cap, I cannot, so I have to replay the same damn race 100 times. Sure, I can play others, if I want 1/4th of the experience.

the advanced SLS AMG challenge is hard but i golded it in less than 1 hour with a controller

just go slow and find the most direct line, dont forget to brake earlier than normally and stay off the racing line

How is it flawed? The people skilled enough to gold everything (I'm not one of them) will level up quicker without the need to redo events and the people with less skill need to grind. In my opinion this is how it should be.

Are you being serious? if you gold everything the most you will get out of it is level 25 or 26, the nurburgring 24hr is at level 40..... each level needs a massive amount of points.

This game shouldn't have tried to be COD. It is so much better to open new areas of the game after acquiring the necessary skills to compete. I have always loved GT games, and will continue to play this one, but ... epic fail there.

Many of us have done the same license tests over and over in the past games so it's not necessary to us to do them again. People new to the series however have the possibility to practice. I think this is a good thing.

Take a chill man, the games only been out TEN DAYS or so, and you are already around halfway through the XP levels. If you had gotten to the end already, you would be no doubt complaining about how easy it is! 👍
