I know Jordan you have a busy schedule but I have come up with some suggestions and ideas.

I was reading the help section and it is as useful as a sack of wet mice. The Help could be revamped to show:
  • How to Attach Files - and Applicable File Formats
  • Links to AUP and TOS
  • The Usual Custom User Status & Avatar Questions – I know there is a thread in the Questions & Comments but it may be useful here as well.
  • Signature Rules – Signature Length and Font Sizes
  • Private Messaging System - Information about Buddies/Groups/Ignore Lists, amount of PM's you can store in the Inbox/Sent Messages
  • GTPlanet Lite & Normal
  • All the Existing Material
  • Plus vB coding Help
~ And everything in between that could help a new member settle in better.

I just feel that the Help is just collecting dust, not doing anything or helping anyone.

A feature I would find handy is when somebody quotes you, you can see what he or she has said and you can answer their question/statement. Yes, under your user CP it shows subscribed threads but I feel it isn't enough to some extent. Maybe a recently quoted box as well?

My final suggestion, I know there has been some discussion about this but is the Photoshop Competitions Forum name really suitable anymore? You have Manga Car, Abstract, Weekly Photoshop Competition, Drawing Competitions and more in there. I feel a new name is need to cater for everything but it isn't that significant so it isn't very important on the grand scale of things.

I don't think Jordan himself can implement the Quote Box in UserCP because that itself is a part of the base vBulletin software/code. Unless he can get a hack for it it's likely it won't happen. Some of the Rules you've added to your list are answered in this vary forum.

You know what would be funny? If the boards were made so that everyone with a 'New Member' status would end up running into the AUP once every 6-7 different pages they went into.
Like say I was a new member and I wanted to check out some thread in the GT3 Drifting forum, next thing I know I get sent to the AUP page.

Such a method would likely just annoy new members and make them leave, then again if they didn't have the patience to sit by the referrals of the rules they probably shouldn't be here anyway.

Just a crazy idea.

I agree, the help section isn't useful at all. It's also a real pain to edit, therefore I haven't made any modifications to it. But, thankfully, an all-new FAQ system is included in vB3, and I will be sure to include all of those new questions that you mentioned once we upgrade.

That would be extremely difficult to do, and probably wouldn't be that effective.

I agree...I'm going to change the forum to "Artistic Competitions". That should cover everything. :)
