Hey guys im planning on buying the logitech driving force gt wheel cause I heard that it's a good value for money and what do you guys think is there anything cheaper but with simillar features? I'm mainly getting it for gt academy and the wheel comes with throttle and brake pedals right?

I have the DFGT EPIC wheel! But the main gear is grinding into the back plate of the wheel housing :/
I want to upgrade to the G27 or Fanatec GT3 RS V2. Any advise?

The eternal question.

Most important thing is to realise that they're not on different levels. Personal preferences completely dictate which one you should choose.

- Gear vs belt driven is a distinct difference.
- For use with console, Fanatec has greater pedal options (CSR, Elite, Clubsport, and even G27)
- G27 could be a more reliable wheel.
- Fanatec has on wheel setting adjustment, independent of the game.
- Plenty would argue that the G27 shifter is better than the non-Clubsport Fanatec options.

There's plenty of info out there. See if one particular attribute (or lack of) sells you. For me it was wanting belt drive.

The only thing I disagree with is that the pedals and shifters are even usable on these mid-range to lower end wheels like DFGT, G27 and Fanatec GT3RS. The wheels themselves are good, but the shifters stink and the pedals are flimsy plastic. Any one of these wheels mated to a good set of pedals is all most sim racers would ever need. Add on an aftermarket shifter and its even better. Only thing lacking on that kind of setup over higher end wheels is more powerful force feedback motors.

G27 pedals are actually pretty tough, each pedal is it it's own metal frame and the plastic is only housing really.

It's less tough. I'd go a little higher end if you really like slamming the shifter around, although ANYTHING will break if you don't respect that it's a CONTROLLER. I used to work in arcades and people would SLAM the 4 speed shifters in the Daytona USA machines into gears and then be all mad when they didn't work right anymore. Those things were commercial grade, and even they'd break.
