Hello all, I am trying to create a livery..of course and I am having a bit of a problem. The front fairing is a different color than the rest of the bodywork so I am adding decals, hence the problem. I cannot for the life of me get the hidden pop-up lights covered, which looks odd when you turn them on for night driving. The fairing is yellow yet the lights are orange. I am also having a problem getting the inside of the bottom of the fairing covered. i have tried to apply decals aligning with surface and with camera..is this just a bug that nothing can be done about. Any suggestions?

Have you tried turning up the angle or depth settings? That will usually get a decal to run into areas you can't normally get to.

I'd paint the car yellow and mask the orange parts instead.

Sometimes the GT Sport livery editor can be fickle and you just have to work around issues.

I had to do that on this same Vette, or maybe the gr4, for a livery I did a while back. There's a spot on top of both rear quarters that won't take a decal, no matter how you apply it. It's very small, but noticeable. I wound up doing what Blitz recommends and reversing my assembly.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. I was afraid I would have to do whats been mentioned. Hopefully it won't take long..and I've learned a valuable lesson...test spots for decal problems before deciding on a scheme. Other than that the car is coming along fine.

Soo...I took the advice and reversed the paint....It looks like I will have to live with a bit of orange on the front spoiler. If you notice in this picture theres an area in the rear..yes the rear of the car that controls that tiny sliver in the spoiler. notice the sliver of green on the spoiler? Basically anything past the edge of the rear bumper controls that sliver in front. I can control it a bit, but adjusting the depth or angle limits makes it so I can't decal the lower 1/2 of the rear quarter no matter if I align to camera or surface. Is it even worth it to report this as a bug?

The R33 GT-R has the same issue, the rear spoiler overlaps the front right fender and the left B pillar. Sloppy skinning from PD's part, but not enough of an issue to see any action I bet.

Yeah..I bet they weren't counting on a lot of people actually getting in depth with the livery editor..also good to know about the R33!

My solution for the headlights was just ignore them and work with the car model we were given, obviously a racing Vette model from the 70's era would be better!
