To me they're still radically different. This is why I frown on folks boasting that they recreated, or did a fair recreation, of a real circuit, because they're never all that close. Maybe if you put the two maps side-by-side and then squint until everything is super-blurry, but it really just gets the most rudimentary generalization of the basic flow of the course.

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for people trying to replicate real circuits. I'm just saying that they're never all that close to the real thing, no matter how hard we try.
