Hello all! I will be starting up an endurance series in July which will have endurances from previous games and some other fun endurances.

First off I will announce driving aids.
TCS: Off (if enough people want it on only for rain races I can chance it)
ASM: Off
SRF: Off
Active Steering: Off
ABS: Allowed
Transmission: Any

Ok I've had a couple in mind since I first got GT5

Passage to the Colliseo

It's GT3 all over again. It will be approximately two hours of Rome in hatchbacks limited to comfort tyres and 400 PP. <Will test for more accurate PP later

2 hours at the Mountain

Another GT3 classic, this race will feature some of Japan's tuners before they were tuned. Regulations should be somewhat similar to the Triple-S championship because cars are alike but again I will test it out. Expect PP in and around the 500 mark.

1000 miles

This one is from GT4 and it's classic endurance series for classic road cars. However, I don't think I will do a series and will just do one race but with two classes to represent GT4. One class for the good cars and the other for the Fiat 500. Don't worry, other cars will be allowed in.
It will be pre-1970 cars with class 1 PP limits of around 400 PP and class 2 of some hopeless PP to accommodate all the shall we say 'slower' cars.

Another thing I might do is have one race with a multi-class, one class in the LMP's/Group C's and the other in the aforementioned hopeless cars to demonstrate real traffic and speed difference.

Another one I might do is put up a poll for what they want to race, pick the top two and multi-class them. I've always wanted to try SuperGT and NASCAR on the same track.:p

So, thanks for reading this post. Who's interested?

Sounds very interesting, you have some good ideas there.
Let me know what happens with this, might be able to do it.

Thanks man, just trying to get a few people going and hopefully there will be a core group at least.

Cool! Seems somewhat popular. Endurance is my favorite form of racing.👍

Sounds excellent.

But 1000 miles? A real 1000 miles?

No don't worry. The 1,000 miles was a series in GT4 which had 4 races of around 4 hours each in pre-1970s cars. Arguably the best series in GT games ever.

I'll just do one race at around half distance for two hours.

I want to run it weeknights around 7-8 BST onwards. It will not clash with the Triple-S championship which is Tuesday and Friday.;)

BST (British Summer Time) is GMT+1, so 7-8BST is 6-7GMT.

I'd be able to make weekday evenings after July 7th - would've finished teacher training then.

Be aware that the SSS might be Tuesday and Thursday (instead of Friday). Friday nights are practically the weekend for a lot of people...

Yeah don't worry. I'm in that championship so I won't let it clash. And these will start at the beginning of July as well so there will be some flexibility. Mondays or Wednesdays probably.
Or Monday for qualifying and Wednesday for racing. I'm easy.:)

I'll take this series into consideration. I'll have to check to see if I'll be busy on Wednesday nights.

If enough people don't want Wednesdays I could do it all on Mondays. Or Thursdays or something.

Thursdays sound good for me. :)

I'm interested, though the possibility of my participation will depend on if I have a change of schedule.
Sounds like a great idea.

Yea there is no way that time will work for me. Some of us have to work on Weekdays.... Ne chance of a weekend series?

No it's definatley weeknights. Sorry.

However I could sort of add it to the official club or series(whatever the name would be) if someone else wants to set one up.

Ive been out of the loop in asia for a while and need to get back into online racing. Im in the USA now and ready to roll, count me in, Ill race anyone, any time, any place.

The time you have set up will work for me sometimes on some days, but I will be more likely to be available later (10:00 or 11:00 EST). I would be willing to host some similar races if other people are intersted.

An interesting idea. Friday nights work for me best.

I've tought up qualifying. It will be on a different day to the race. Everybody will get just one lap to qualify and it will have to be done in the presence of me or another steward.(we get to that bridge when we cross it) Other racers are allowed watch but times will be kept secret and the starting order will be revealed in this thread. It's an exciting form of qualifying. It's similar to the ASRA Indy 500 qualifying without the different stages(bump day etc.)
