I see you joined the forum! Awesome, it'll be great to meet you on track. There's a lot of new people getting interested in this. We used to race rf2 but we just could not get enough people up for the races because rF2 is not very active online right now. So we're switching to AC. I have faith that Kunos will fix the multiplayer annoyances and bugs and this will only get better.

If I'm free I'd like to give this a shot! Also, could you make the last part of your message some other color? Really really hard to read...

I should have my shiny new PC tuned up with the kinks worked out by then, assuming it arrives this week as planned. I'd love to make this my first AC (or PC for that matter) race. 👍👍. Any tire is ok?

Yup, open tire choice and pit stops are optional.

All I expect is for people to show up practiced and ready to go. The server is up 24/7 and things like setups need to be ready by the time quali happens. So if you may be able to make it, practice as though you WILL be there so you'll be ready to go if you can make it. At VSCR it's not so important to be fast, it is very important to race clean. This is a bit of a different sort of racing than some people are used to. Of courseif you are fast & clean that's best but there will be racing all through the field and in many of our races the winner comes from the mid-pack because he's clean and consistent.

what's the specs on your new PC? I have a gpu upgrade on the way- moving to a R9 290x

i7 4790k, Gigabite GTX970.

Do you use a set of guidelines for racing like the GTP OLR?

Can I ask what display and resolution you are planning to use?
At the moment a 55" Sony LED, 120Hz, but anything is possible in the future. I overbuilt just in case.

Is there registration for this event? Can I reserve a spot/car or is it first come first served on race day?

It's first come- but there will be plenty of space if you show up during practice. We will have about 8 regulars, maybe a couple more irregulars and judging from posts here and elsewhere another half dozen or so. You can visit our forum and sign up and post in the race thread and participate in the pre-race chatter. In the week before usually that thread gets busy.

I am pending approval of my registration and I can see I'm supposed to post in the newb thread, but I don't see any way to do so.

So I have the TeamSpeak downloaded and working. What do I do with it now?

Log on to the VSCR TS channel and try to talk to Goodkill or get on early enough tomorrow and I'll take care of you.

I'm in the WGL awaiting permissions. I'll remain there until race time.

Sorry that I couldn't come yesterday, my g27 broke last week....

The desk clamp for my T500 broke on lap 5! One of the prongs was still holding on and I figured out how to work around it and still finished 3rd. What a race it was too- From lap 6 until lap 36 I was going back and forth with a Ferrari- then another ferrari joined in and for about the final 10 laps and the 3 of us diced. It was intense.

Next week we're at Road America in the 599XX so you have a chance to join us once the wheel is fixed.
