I've got a weekly series going and thought I'd open it up to others here on GTP.
The concept: Every Sunday at 7PM Pacific we have a race day that lasts for about 45 minutes. The goal of the series is to provide a place where there is some competitive racing but not in a way that you need to commit the same time slot every week in order to get something out of it. Show up for one day or show up for them all, so long as everyone enjoys the race it is worth it for me to host it. Because there is a high degree of varied skill, I will try to make efforts to level the playing field a bit (boost, tire selection, car selection, etc).
The cars: Completely varied from week to week. I don't limit to crazy expensive/rare cars so everyone should be able to compete with a regular car dealer car (thought a UCD car may be better). Races have ranged from the Cappuccino RM to LM cars.
The tracks: Varies just as much. The first two race days we had 2 different tracks, this coming Sunday will be 4 races on 1 track (with a twist between each race).
The rules: Standard GTP rules (aka keep it nice and clean)
The prizes: I remote race like crazy. If you enter the Sunday Cup, you will be remote raced. If you finish at the top, you will be given guaranteed slots for a period of time (1st place gets 7 days of "always use" remote race priority) last place will get random seeding, but since there is a 15 player limit, that should work out to a healthy amount after a week. People who get booted for deliberate dirty racing will get no prize and will be banned from future events.
What to do: If you're interested, speak English and have a headset, know the difference between dirty and clean racing, and ready to add to the fun atmosphere we are trying to create, send me a PM. If you just have questions, please post here.
