After trying to win my Altezza LM racecar, which is one of my favorite cars. Unsuccessful until now, usually I do the hit x when the logo is hovering under the car trick and it works. As you all agreed it was a coincidence your right. This is how you get the car you want, lap times.

Let me explain, now in the Altezza Championship Race you can win either:

Tom's X540 Chaser
Toyota Altezza LM Race Car
Toyota Vitz RS 1.5 (2 other colors)

now my first try my best lap time was a 1.47 there I got the X540 chaser and I didn’t want that so I did it again.

Second time my best lap time was a 1.46 I received a Silver Vitz RS
still unsatisfied and angry at the wasted time I tried again.

3rd time my best lap time was a 1.45 I received a turquoise blue Vitz RS, infuriated now at the time that has gone by I had to do it one last time. :banghead:

4th time was a charm I ran a 1.44 as my best lap time and one the Altezza LM Race car. :D

Now only did the times change, the better the times the cooler the trophy looked. On my 4th try my trophy was this huge gold and blue with flowers n' such but on my first time it was a measly guy on the tire in gold.

I knew there was a way to determine your destiny; you just have to drive aggressive, and not only win but also beat yourself at it in times.

Umm, no, not really. It is totally random, though the trophy does change, it doesn't correlate to the car. You can win the car you want without running a full lap; it just matters that you vary the elapsed time.

Also, since you reload the game between tries, there is no way for the game to know if you're beating your previous times or not.

Nice try, Sundog... but it truly is random.

Well, up until now I have had no reason to think there was any trick to win a certain car. However, one of my favourite activities for tuning low-grade race cars and high powered street cars, Is to do the Amateur Euro champs which wins me a $300,000 Vertigo. Now, when I do this championship I always use a car that is way better than the other cars. I am not doing this championship for the challenge, purely for track time with a certain car and for money. Anyways, I am getting way off track, I almost always beat the pack by almost a lap, and one thing I have noticed, is that I luck out everytime, I swear to you, I dont remember the last time I did this championship and didnt win the Vertigo on the first try.

Try using a race car for a regular championship, you will see that this trick does work.

One other example, I often do the GT Champs at the end of beginner league. I do this tournament because it has high money with 2 lap races ($5,000/lap). Again, I usually beat everyone by a wide margin because I run this championship with a wide array of very fast race cars etc. And once again, I cant remember the last time I didnt win the Celica GT Four, which is the best car out of the choices.

I am not just completely speculating here. I truly believe that the faster you are during a tournament, the better car you win. Try it and you'll see.

I'll pass along a reasurance that it is indeed random. I usually vary my time related to how quickly the Title of the track fades out. In other words, my time on the last track in a series, varies tenths to hundreths of a second. Yet I still recieve different car awards.

It is a random award.
