Super Bowl Halftime Instant Race

I know that GTBN is supposed to host tomorrow's instant race, but with the Superbowl happening, most people are distracted.

I'm not as big a football fan as most, and I'd like to host an instant race tomorrow. So here's the deal, Some time just before the end of the First half, I'll add a car and a track combination to the Instant Race thread at GTBN. Those that want can jump in and race for the half time show and e-mail their time in to me before the start of the third quarter. After the start of the 3rd quarter, I'll start posting times. (No chat room for this one, as it's start time will fluctuate depending on the game.)

Simple easy, and it gets my fix during the big game.

I'm guessing that many of you will be out at parties, so competition will be sparse.

Arcade – Free Run – Rome Reverse – A Class Cars – Ruf 3400s – Racing set-up. Times due to AO@deralta.net before the end of Halftime (www.superbowl.com is an easy way to track the time).

What's a "Super Bowl"???
:D Is it a really BIG Bowl of Chili??? :confused: Or Noodles perhaps??? :confused: Post a "Real" Instant Race & you might be surprised how many drivers show up. I for one, have absolutely NO IDEA of when "Half Time" might occur nor any inclination to find out!!!...UB57

Well, I've no idea what time it might kick off, so I'm with you. I'll think it over this afternoon, and post up the time for the instant race. If that's the case, we may have to do it with the gtplanet chat room. And if you want to talk Chili, I've made chili cookoff judges cry. You know the secret.

I was still planing on it. However, I'm realizing that half time may be near 8pm EST. Which puts it 1am in most of Europe

this sucks, my brother is playing Castlevania and won't let me have some laps :(
 
doh! i wouldve liked to get somthing in the 1'34 range, but that was literally like 3 minutes of work. haha. oh well, thanks for the spot der alta!
 
It was quite enjoyable! And I think it was enough of a quick break for everyone.

I think this was the first OLR race I've done at Rome2, so I was searching for lines, particularly at the double apex bend after T2.

With the race starting at 1.00am I was finding it difficult to concentrate, but managed to pull this lap out of the bag

Yeah that ones a toughy..you kinda have to go forward farther than you think you do, and then turn into it, if you get it right and take it at the right speed you can just go around the whole thing w/out any letting up on the gas or adjusting the steering. Tho it doesnt seem like you had much trouble since you killed everyone anyways :irked: haha
