Which direction would you like Super GT season 8 go?

Interest poll​

Recently, the administraition position for Super GT has been handed to me from ABud after two successful stints as its chief Stewart. Before I get season 8 in motion, I want to get a good gauge on the direction everyone wants to go with it. So with this in mind, Should I:

A.

Run the series on GT4 for the last time with the same rules, restrictions and so fourth from previous seasons​

Run the series on GT5 for the first time with some revisions to the rules, specs and restrictions for cars to accomedate the online racing.​

This series will continue for sure as long as people want to race in it, the direction it'll go in for season 8 is up to you guys so I strongly recommend your input. If its going to GT4, then expect a Sign up Thread in early September followed by the start of the season on October 1st. If on GT5, then a Sign-up will be put in late October, followed by two Public test sessions in Late november and the season to start somewhere mid-January (away from the holidays).

Voted GT4 mainly because there is no EU release date for GT5 yet, and it may not be released before the series starts.

Understandable. Of course the series doens't have a particular start date because that'll fall on what direction everyone wants to go. If the votes say GT4, then it'll start immediately in September. If GT5, then a sign-up thread will be put up in October followed by a Test session, then the opening round a week later.
 
I'm pretty sure GT5 isn't out till November even in the US so you may need to delay the series by a month. There is speculation that the European release date is Nov 24th I think. Don't forget you'll also need to leave people enough time to get through the GT mode races to win/buy the cars and unlock the tracks.

I'm going to vote GT4 based around the start date you've chosen purely to allow more people the chance to get settled with GT5 (and in many cases get hold if a PS3 too).

I'm voting GT5 'cause my CTC stuff probably won't be done until then. In another note, I think I'll be doing one car per series after the LMS and CTC series are through. That way, I could race in more series.
 
Since I might have thrown off some people, the first post has been revised with a more clear answer on what will happen with the series whichever direction it goes. Feel free to include some suggestions while your at it.
 
Seeing that I don't plan on getting a PS3 in the near future. I can look into running in one class. :)

It would appear so. I'm guessing no one has a PS3 or isn't getting one in the near future.

i do have a PS3 but obviously i don't have GT5 yet and when i do get it i won't have any of the cars so it would be easier to use GT4. when i do get GT5 and i am able to get the cars then yes i'd vote for GT5.:)
 
Should be GT4, since some users may not obtain GT5 as soon as it is released. Should wait a while after its release.
 
I voted for GT4 too, I think some users may not get GT5 as soon as it comes out as Crow said.
 
So its official: We'll run Super GT on GT4 for the last time (which is appropreate now that I think about it). Everything will remain the same just for simplicity. Also, I will get a signup thread up this week with a date for the test following soon after.
 
You should correct the thread title to "Poll", as in the poll you've entered options for and people can vote on.

A "Pole" is something you fly a flag from or a native of Poland. ;)
