GT500 has already seen a very close fight so far with Hot laps of the top four all within a second of each other. Meanwhile, GT300 sees everyone exclusively relying on the Garaiya and its already show n some close results. Will the race shakeup in similar fashion? Lets find out.

General Information and Regulations​

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by SuperGT sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (namely me RACECAR or oldmodelt) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manner.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by GTMSA for each round. Horsepower and/or weight settings are adjusted for competitive reasons each round based on finishing positions from previous rounds.

  • Standard Online Racing Rules Apply.
  • No Cheating, hybrids, etc. You must run the car specifications I give you
  • Try keeping at least 2 wheels on course. Long races = small mishaps, but absolutely NO shortcuts
  • No wall-riding as well. Combined with penalties, this will slow you down considerably, so don't do it.
  • All decisions by GTMSA officials are final


Race​

  • Arcade Mode>>>Single Race>>>World Circuits>>>Suzuka Circuit
  • 17 lap race (100km)
  • Weight penalties in place
  • RS, RM, RH tires or any combination thereof
  • Strong Tire Wear
  • AI at +5
  • Ai tires RS
  • Forced Pit Entry penalty system
  • ASM is prohibited TCS is optional
  • Gearing (top speed slider) is own choice
  • Points for race: 15-12-10-7-5-3-2-1
  • 2 Points for fastest lap
  • 2 points for finishing within 103% of race winning time
  • 1 point for finishing outside 103% of race winning time

Ok, results are up in the other thread and weight penalties are listed here. Please apply them once you start your runs.
 
Hmm...So, is the submission deadline still in effect? Because if it is I can see a lack of submitted times being an issue...Oh well I guess, i'm going to go hustle a time in while I can!
 
My one shot and out. No big surprises here. One minor off on Gyaku Bank Curve and 2 times a little wide at 130R. Casio was suprisingly easy this year.

I can extend that if anyone wants since I goofed up getting the results quicker. would help if I knew how to work the spreadsheets myself.
 
I'm on Fire! Suddenly found out I can do a 1'54 on RM with the Z
 
the results image is blurry so i can't make out my weight penalty. is this happening to anyone else or just me and if it is just me could some tell me it.

Just the top three in the order. Also, I saw that as well. It was clear when I first posted it so I'm not sure why its all blurry now. It says +5 next to yours so thats how much you carry.

Again, I'll extend the deadline if anyone wants.

Time submitted. Didn't get around to another shot. Even though it only takes 2.... no that would be against the rules. :sly:

ohhh I missed that is was 11:59 GMT. I submitted by Eastern time. That 20 seconds hurts. A lot.

You mean like they are off or something?
 
Well I might be misunderstanding the rule, but I thought that if you were "within 103% of race time" (under 34'45.00) you would receive the 2 points, instead of 1. However, according to the chart only 4/6 people under that time got 2 points. Myself and apemax only received 1 point. Additionally, 2/2 entrants OVER that time got 2 points instead of 1. I'm not going to be losing sleep over it but I was just curious :D

**ACTUALLY I'm just kidding. My screen was a bit dark so the column reading "pits" looked like pts. Sorry for the mix up haha.

I am going to enter the GT300 class and withdraw from the 500 for the time being. I know how I would feel if I was driving pretty much alone. We have a good number in the GT500 class. And I will take the 1% wt penalty with me. I'll be in the ASL with everyone else. Keep it simple for RACECAR.

Congrats on the double win CAMikaze. 👍 Enjoy it. There will be sugar in your fuel tank next week. :sly:

I'll take what you just said as a threat and a promise. ;) Also, looks like it's become like a couple of seasons ago when it was the RX-7 LM's in GT500 as the car of choice. Guess we're all in agreement as to the Garaiya suiting our racing style?

By the way 't', don't be a stranger to GT500. ;)

Yeah, the GT300 class needs a bit more variety in the cars entered. I should see if my Wedssport Celica can do anything to the ASL's dominance.
