What is a "fast" lap time at Suzuka with a GT500 car?

No Assist on except ABS at 1.
Racing Medium tires.

I can run 1.59, but more consistently 2.01s with a DS3.
I consider myself slightly above novice and I am trying to figure out if that is actually decent or not.
And does anyone know what the cars run in real life?
Thanks for any input.

Wow. I could see shaving 3 or 4 seconds maybe with continued setup tweaks...but 10 seconds...not so much.
Thanks for the info. Being from America, I had little to no exposure to GT500 racing until GT5...now I am a little fascinated by it, to be honest.
Let me know how your time turns out. I am using the Yellowhat GT-R, btw.

I'd imagine that time was done with very soft tyres on so do yourself a great favour and buy a set yourself. That'll probably give you 3/4 seconds alone.

I have considered that, but this all started because I am "prepping" for the Suzuka 1000 and the rest of the field runs R2s.

1.54.2 with a standard Xanavi Z with racing softs. (in online). 1.53.1'ish with the largest turbo.
That IRL record is out of this world..! :scared:

I think NSXs are better suitable for breaking the record. Xanavi is a torque beast, that's right, but the cornering of an NSX is unmatchable.

my best lap I have done but with tha Arta Garaiya GT300 06/Racing Medium tires in my private lounge is 2.02!I will try with a supergt500.

This one had me stumped as well. :irked:I was in the 1:55 range on mediums and 53s with Softs with just an oil change. Even with the upgrade im not sure 1:49 could be done unless Skid recovery was turned on.

That official time is faster than me with an X2010. And I'm not joking :D

I shall give it a blast in a GT500....

I think 00 and 01 NSX had by far the best Aerodinamics on the JGTC until regulation changes made them crumble. Maybe if we try with an early 2000 NSX...

But I don't think greater downforce on those cars are reflected in game.

EDIT: Early 2000 NSX are hopeless. Arta NSX even has a horn. That shows how much effort they put into the standard models lol

As someone has suggested and if you look over the race result archive at SuperGT.net: http://supergt.net/supergt/history/indexen.htm

You'd see that with each year, new regulations regarding power restriction/tire usage affect how fast the lap times are/were. 2007 seems to be the fastest before new sets of regulation in 2008.

Both 2007 and 2008 season began at Suzuka which provide the best comparison since in the first race of the season there is no weight ballast. While the NSX was the fastest in 2007 at 1:49.842 (during the Qulaifying Super Lap), in 2008 the new Nissan GTR was fastest at 1:51.1 (the fastest NSX was back at 1:52.9).

In 2009, the season began in Okayama but returned to Suzuka in 2009. The NSX has now been replaced by the HSV-010. The fastest car in qualification was the HSV at 1:53.1 and the GTR did a 1: 53.3 (that's 2 second up from 2008).

In GT5 most of the Premium Super GT cars are based on the 2008 regulation. The exception is the Nissan GTR which made its debut in 2008 but was allowed to adopt some of JAF (Japanese Automotive Federation) GT 2009 regulation.
