Super License #8 is SOOO easy

I just kept the GT1 Toyota in 3rd gear, did a decent lap without touching the walls, and beat the Gold time by 1.5 seconds in only 5 laps!

Does anyone find it this easy?

For those who use AT switch to manual for this license and dont go below 3rd gear
 
Are sure it is easy? I dont think so.

I personally find all the Time Trials easier than the licenses.
 
Just dont get lower then 3rd gear and it will be easy
 
that one wasnt very easy for me,but i had more trouble with the gt40 at seattle.
 
The time seems pretty generous - I remember the last time I ran it (the first in a while) I did a neat lap without pushing at all, not hitting anything, and ran in a silver.

Your third gear concept is interesting - one way of keeping traction under control.
 
That might just work :thumbsup: Technically wheelspin would be reduced :burnout: and more grip/Traction should be gained.

Same here. it was the second last one that i had to do because it was sooooo hard
 
well u can let it go below 3rd and you get more accelration...u just need to know how to control over steer.

Yes, and it is a good advice.
You can go below 3rd gear though.
Just use MT and you'll pass it in no time:D

I was surprised myself. I hadnt tryed that particular license test in a while, but I didnt go lower then 3rd gear. I got to the last turn on the first 4 laps and kept bumping the wall spinning me out. I looked up at my time and said, this is fast...must be a long straightaway because this time is too fast. But on lap 5 i didnt hit the wall on the last turn and beat the gold time by 1.5 seconds.

I dont know how it got so easy, just dont go lower then third gear and you will beat it easy
 
I found it really easy as well.
On my second game, my first attempt game me a Silver and my second go relinquished a Gold .5 quicker than gold time. I was dead chuffed. :D.
 
What so you go around those tight hairpin bends in 3rd and its faster. Maybe the rest of the track, and what about the chicane after the tunnel you still only go down to third?
 
Yep ALL the way round, the car don't slide at all. Just try it. You'll never go back down to 2nd gear again, I promise. :D.
 
Listen to the man....especially on the hairpins right before the tunnel.
 
Yeah Earth is correct I tried doing this back in August and it worked (for bronze back then) but I gots gold on it :)
 
I keep on trying to pass the test but i come out missing gold by 0.04 seconds! Must be a way to get around those **** traction problems heh?
 
yeah the time trials i find are harder specially the Complex string
 
Hmmm... S-8 was easy for me, even though I let it go down to 1st gear. It's really not that hard to prevent oversteer in that test.
 
:mad: :mad: :mad: I have 2 golds and all bronzes, I have exactly 1 bronze in the S licenses and to top it off in S-5 I miss the bronze by .177 then beat my ghost by 2 car lengths and for some reason it says I missed it by .317 WTF! I cant drive the GT40 thru the first f-ing s-turn without braking on s-2 and I get loose everywhere in s-3!!!! And another thing I have carpal tunnel setting in on both thumbs from my damn controller. I need help!
 
So does everybody. I'm only slightly ahead of you on the S license tests, and on all the others combined I think I have 3 silvers and the rest in bronze.

My advice is to skip the tests until you really need that license. Go do some other part of the game and come back when you've got more practice.

Welcome to GTP, by the way. Good luck in the game and don't get stressed about the time trials or license tests.
 
I already beat it, but I will go back and try this method. Thanks for the info on how to beat s-8.
