I don't care how bad of a driver one could be but you can't burn through 27 liters of fuel and a new set of tires in 2 laps. I've been digging GT6 up until I got to the S class events. Tire wear and fuel consumption is retarded at that level. Also, how hard would it be to note that you'll more than likely need to pit at some point during that 20 miles your driving. Yes, 20 mile race and you burn through 2 full sets of tires and two tanks of fuel. Whoever came up with this idea needs his or her head examined. I drive 20 miles each way to work and even in racing you're not going to burn through 2 full sets of tires. Unless those tires are made of nerf material which I doubt they are in the game.

Been really happy with GT6 up until now and with the tire wear and fuel issues, it's made this very un-fun. Also was looking forward to some endurance racing but 24 minutes of anything is A class stuff not serious racing. Peoples attention spans are getting much worse as the years go on but i'm pretty sure even a squirrel has a high enough attention span to cover more than 24 minutes.

i'm ditching gt6 until this stuff is fixed. Was happy with it until the real racing was unlocked. And I guess the PD folks think the real racing needs to cater to people with the attention span of a 3 year old on christmas. Really disappointed with how this was rigged when the real stuff should have been available. Surprised not more people have noted how fast their fuel and tires wear.

And this isn't just the willow springs race. I tried most all the S class races and they all wear this terrible. One thing I noted is that Sport and Racing tires in hard through soft wear identical. But in the real world, the hard tires last longer than soft. If sport hard wears out in 2 laps than sport soft would burn out in about half a lap. In Super license races they are the same. Tried with all three hardness tires and they all burned up at the same time. How does that make any sense? Maybe they're trying to condense the wear to match up with the paltry race time? If that is the case, it's still bad.

poor showing PD. Don't you guys test this stuff out with people that play racing games? Get this stuff fixed and I'll come back and play some more but until then, i'll maybe pick up an xbox one and try fm5.

The wear rates in the S-class races are accelerated. It's meant to demonstrate a 24H race in 24 minutes.

Personally I think 2.4 hours would have been fine, 24 minutes is the length of an average club race for me.

You really SHOULD try FM5, it's very good in some ways :D

I noticed that too : did the Apricot Hill "endurance" and burnt through 30 liters of fuel in 3/4 of a lap or something with the McLaren F1. Tyres weren't an issue, the fuel consumption was driving me crazy ( and the fact that I have to turn the HUD on to see how much fuel I've got left :grumpy: )

My thread is on top yet some people are so much more interested in whining and hating they choose to ignore everything

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ing-online-vs-single-player-very-fast.296257/

Fuel/Tyre wear in single player is accelerated to reflect the accelerated time-lapse - otherwise with Audi r18 doing 11-12 laps on a fuel tank ("Normal" settings) you would never have to re-fuel. If you create a lobby online and set those to "Normal" fuel consumption is VERY accurate.

If we happen to get a more lengthy endurance races I'm sure fuel and tyre wear will be set to "Normal" in those.

For me it´s just whining.
Take the N24 race for example. In real racing they get up to 260kph at Döttinger Höhe and an average time of high 8minutes to high 9 minutes.
Well I could only do 2 full laps with 1 Fuel load but me did one 8:35 and a 9:35 (due to me forgetting to buy full rain tires only had inters for 100% dampness) so maybe a tad to fast.
You have to limit your throttle input, that´s what is important in real racing too. I don´t think they full throttle all the Time maybe only on few occasions (uphill and or important straights) rest of the Time they get to maximum 75% throttle input => they can make more distance instead of time which is in my eyes more important in an endurance race.

==> for the "enduros" in GT6 try to make soft accelerations and on straights don´t max the throttle. I´m with DS3 and did 7 laps at Apricot Hill with an 649pp R35TC and won easily.
Just think about a strategy first before you start complaining.
But I agree about the missing long races (not the 9h or 24h that are just plain stupid races for a video game although you can save during the race) like the 4h VLN race of GT5 that was pure fun with the right car choice.
