Super Speedy Fanatec Support Response

Hi All,

I wanted to let you know about the awesome super speedy support I got from Fanatec.

I received my whole setup (CSR Wheel, CSR Elite Pedals and shifter) on Friday March 30th and immediately set up the Wheel Stand Pro and attached the wheel, pedals and shifter to it. After everything was finally synced and calibrated I got down to driving. Boy was I disappointed when I started racing and could not get past 3rd gear, it felt to me that the engine wasn't getting enough gas and it kept on sputtering. I thought that it needed calibration, so I searched all the forums and found what appears to be a common problem. I hooked the pedals to my Mac and saw that the signal on the brake was pulsating even though no one was pushing on the gas.

I sent Fanatec support an email with all the questions answered as requested on the Fanatec Support page then sent it out Friday night with my invoice and video attached. I had heard so many bad things about the support that I really wasn't expecting to hear back from them anytime soon. Much to my surprise I received an answer to my email at 6:29am Monday morning thanking me for providing all the answers to their questions and yes indeed that I do have a problem and they will send out a new Pedal Set immediately. I filled out the RMA and today I got an email with UPS tracking number that my Pedals were sent out today and I should have them tomorrow. Luckily I only live 20 miles from where they ship these out.

So it took a total of 3 days for Fanatec to respond and get me a brand new set of Pedals. Oh yeah, I will have to send back the defective Pedals but they will reimburse me the shipping cost.

Thanks Fanatec for the amazing customer support, I'm impressed.

Same value pack, same problem, same speedy Fanatec response, all went smooth as silk, Carl and Claudia were very kind.
I heard dramatic stories about Fanatec support but everything was fine here.
 
Just curious did you get your new Pedals yet? I just got the 2nd set of pedals and it's doing the same exact thing as the first set.

Please let me know if your second set of pedals are ok.

Oh no. Here we go. It really shouldn't be this way. There's just no excuse for this kind of failure rate. Good luck, Joanne!

Hey Dave,

You did warn me, but you're right there is no excuse for this kind of workmanship. I'm really disappointed that the second pair is also faulty. The worst part is we're leaving on vacation in a couple of days and I won't be able to take care of this for at least 3 weeks. So frustrating!!!

Yes, I received the second set of pedals two weeks ago and they're working fine, I had exactly this problem.

After 2 sets of faulty CSR Elite Pedal sets I gave up and upgraded to the new Clubsport V2 Pedal Set. I just got them a couple days ago and tried them last night, wow these things are awesome! I wish I had ordered these in the beginning, although Fanatec was really fast with their support it was a lengthy frustrating process. They never did figure out what the problem was, so I'm sending back the defective CSR Elite Pedals and keeping the Clubsports. They worked immediately with no tweaking, get these if you want to avoid any hassles.
 
Your probably going to continue to have problems with Fanatec pedals... This is until you get one of these.. http://basherboards.com/node/1 I purchased one a few months ago fir my faulty pedals and just plug this device in and all your problems will go away.

:irked: Wait wait. You had 2 faulty pedals, and you're still willing to pay 250 usd :ill: I'm not sure what I would do, I guess I rage quit and order the G27 pedals.. I'm going to order the Elite pedals within the next two weeks, hope I won't have that problem.

What pedals do you have? It says it doesn't work with the Elite's.. :indifferent:

It can fix the following and then some on your Standard and CSR (NOT Elite) pedals
