A full crowd was on hand to witness a not-so full grid for this year's SuperTEC N1 race at the new 2005 Fuji Speedway. The Italian driver Cristiano led the RX-8 in the famous Renown livery in front of the field for most of the race. The GT-Rs would dominate in the class two category, class three remained fairly even while the Arta Garaiya of British GTBN driver Ryk walked on class four.

However, thanks to an early pit strategy, Taikyu veteran Manabu Ayase in the Mazdaspeed RX-7 proved that the older Rotary concept could prevail against the newer Renesis platform. Season six world champion Yamahiro came home with a class two win in the Calsonic Nissan Skyline. Canadian driver SagarisGTB made out with a ST3 win in his first N1 event driving the #57 Impreza, and the same could be said for Ryk in the ARTA Garaiya taking home the class victory in his first event in ST4.

Super Taikyu will continue for round two in two weeks to fill the grid this time, and make for more competition.

Incredible round. I gotta give props to the ST2 winner!! That was an incredible finnish, I'd imagine! I finnished P2 by less than a second!! If I had qualified better I think I could have earned a better result.
