I'm still not really satisfied with my lap because it looks so sloppy. However, I did find today by watching a bunch of replays of mine that the default replay view (not the "dive" replay and not a fixed view) has a knack for making any slow or sloppy driving look beautiful. :D That was certainly the case with both of these laps! And I'm very far from an automatic win; as I've said, I think the fact that I choose the combos has a lot to do with it.

I hope you don't mind I say you could have been slightly faster in some places, such as the hairpin before the uphill, and the pair of corners after the T2. Other than that, 👍

Nice videos. The CTR one would make those in the drifting threads proud. And you did it without all the tuning.

No, I didn't have big enough angles or enough smoke to compare to actual drifting, and it can't be drifting anyway because drifting, by definition, is for show and not for speed. However, I did do a completely unintentional "feint" that worked out very well in the little right-hander before the final long sweeper.

Oh, absolutely. I messed up many of the corners before the hill, and it's only because of an aggressive run over the crest that this was my fastest lap. I didn't take the right-left-left as well as I could have, missed the apex in the right-hander before T1, and braked too early for the double right, which messed up my line for both that corner and the hairpin. I thought I did the turns after T2 pretty well, though. :confused: I think it looks like I could have taken them faster because I'm not using the whole track on the exit, but doing so would not only mess up my line for the shallow right but also cost me time spent sliding sideways trying to straighten out the car. Anyway, I didn't go faster than this because it's so hard to string a perfect lap together. I know I could have done a 1'49.2 on a perfect lap for me, but that would have taken a long time to achieve.

If you don't mind, tomorrow I will check whether I still have my best lap replay, and I will take some photos of the CTR doing those turns. It must be driving style, anyways.
