The tifosi
Hello GTP. I have been a long time browser of these forums and very much respect every bodies opinions and attitudes here.

I am currently thinking of setting up a race series that will take no more than 1 hour to complete each race.
The cars will be supercars that will be power and weight limited to make them more even.
Details of the cars and tracks are yet to be decided and are fully dependant on the interest I receive.

Admittedly there will be some cars that have significant gains over others, for this reason the tracks will be picked so each car has at least 1 track it will be handicapped on.
For example, the ford GT is immense in a straight line and has a huge torque curve, so a small feisty track such as Suzuka would be on the calendar.

Tuning will be unlimited and you will be allowed to use tunes from the tuning forum etc.

The races will be held on SATURDAY at 8pm GMT +1. from there I believe you can do the rest?

So if anyone's interested could you post your name down below and maybe a suggestion or two on how to improve the series.

Thanks for your time
Zach

Definitely interested, but considering these are essentially road legal cars, I'd have to insist on sports soft tyres. Race slicks aren't challenging enough.

I was considering putting a limit on RH but I wouldn't let the cars run on RS for sure.
Thanks for showing your interest :), once a few more ha e indicated an interest I'll test the cars I'm considering to see if theyre balanced.

Another thing is I'm not around for this Saturday evening until Next Thursday. The rest of these weekdays are fine, however.

The race series will begin once 5 or 6 people have declared an interest

Okay
Provisional cars are as follows, these may change as we will have a preseason race to check everything's good.
The power limit will be set at ~ 600BHP, weight limit yet to be decided but will most likely be 1300kg
In the MR class:
Ford GT
Ferrari 458 Italia
Ferrari F40
McLaren MP4-12C
Pagani Zonda C12S
Saleen S7

In the FR class:
Maserati GranTurismo S
Jaguar XKR Coupe
Mercedes SLS AMG
Ferrari 599
Aston Martin DB9
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6)

In the RR class (if anyone dare):
RUF CTR Yellow Bird

These cars are subject to change pending review of pre season race

Also with 13 (mist likely 11) cars been used, there will be 2 drivers allowed per car

All of this will be much more organised once we have enough interest and be in a different thread

There's some good variety to be had - don't forget the Saleen S7 and Pagani Zonda, also the Aston DB9 and Corvette Z06.

Why not open it up to any supercar with sports softs or less and maybe low 600PP levels? If you did that then i would be game for this. Theres a huge variety of Supercars in this game and it would be interesting to see the creativity some people would show with their choice of car.

I've specifically chosen certain cars so we get fair and balanced races with no run away winners.
Also I extremely dislike the PP system as a whole, flame me however much you want, I'll never like it.

If we use power and weight limits, I'd insist on sports softs and rear wheel drive only, and definitely separate classes for MR and FR. Another thing is I'm not so sure the F40 could mix it with the more modern machines.

Yea I've chosen not to allow the 4WD cars as they will outclass everything.
It seems so far the tyre type is likely to be SS...

F40 is a beast of a machine, but we will see if cars are too uncompetetive at the preseason race

Car list updated

I am interested in this series. Too late to join???

Nope it's not too late
I'll post up a thread later today with all the details etc.

Thread posted, please all check it out.
