So the PreSeason Challenge is over, with East taking the honours in GT500 class and ICallShotgun in the GT300. However, now the real racing starts and the long campaign to become SuperGT champion begins!


General Information and Regulations

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by SuperGT sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (namely me ABud) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manner.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by GTMSA for each round. Horsepower and/or weight settings are adjusted for competitive reasons each round based on finishing positions from previous rounds.

  • Standard Online Racing Rules Apply.
  • No Cheating, hybrids, etc. You must run the car specifications I give you
  • Try keeping at least 2 wheels on course. Long races = small mishaps, but absolutely NO shortcuts
  • No wall-riding as well. Combine with penalties, this will slow you down considerably, so don't do it.
  • All decisions by GTMSA officials are final


Qualifying

  • Arcade Mode>>>Single Race>>>Original Courses>>>Apricot Hill Raceway
  • 5 lap Single Race
  • RM tires only
  • No tire wear
  • AI @ your choice from -10% to +10%
  • AI tires always set to RS
  • Forced Pit Entry penalty system
  • ASM is prohibited TCS is optional
  • Points: 3pts - 2pts - 1pt
  • 10 second penalty added to race time if you dont submit a qualifying time
  • Top 3 qualifiers take a 1% weight penalty to the race

Yep, people can join the series at anypoint through the season without taking any penalties. Go to the SuperGT Sign up thread or click here.

Hey all,

Thought I'd post this here also.

I just wanted to say (late as it is), thanks to ABud for the invitation to defend my GT500 title from the past 2 seasons. Unfortunately, RL is a bit too hectic right now for me, so I will have to gracefully bow out of this season, for the first time since the JGTC (SuperGT) series inception.

Good luck to all of you, I'll take my title with me for now ;)

Hopefully I'll be back in action for Season 7!

Hi guys. Racecar just pointed out to me the dumb deadline for this quali event (12pm GMT)! Its meant to be 12am GMT (stupid typo) but i guess it'll have to stand for this round.

Qualify time submitted 11:53 PM GMT

Gave it two tries in 30 minutes before deadline and came to time reacable in the timeframe.

I'm very familiar with the track thought as I've done GT2 Escudo sub minute time attack there recently.
 
Dont forget info such as current standings, penalties etc. will only be shown on the SuperGT Stats page.

woot! alright east...i guess i'll have to try harder.

My focus is on the GT300 championship this season, with the RX7 being secondary. hoping to keep RACECAR and Abud in my rear view all season. :) Good luck all.
