Hey all:
Had my first go today, I have to say I like my choice in car in the GT300.
This was my line up:
Lancia (2nd)
FTO (3rd)
Astra (5th)
Alfa Romeo (4th)
Falken GTR (6th)
Trying to get used to the tyres and the wheight I had 2 outs on R100 :indiff:
Once I got going I took over 1st place on lap 7 when the first 2 cars decided to pit, They never caught up!:sly:
I stayed out until lap 14 then pitted again on lap 23. My fastest lap was on lap 25!
All the cars pitted twice before i had to pit my first time. I lapped the last three cars Astra, Falken, Alfa but they passed me, once I pitted the second time.
I am happy with my time but will try to play around with tire combo's to see if I reduce some of these lap times.

GL all 👍

Times Sent! No time to improve times on 1st post submitted!
Good luck all!

***Times sent***

I did at least one run this week in each class before breaking two ribs in a fall on the bus going to work yesterday.:ouch::(

I also have some suggestions.

  • For the Race portion of the round, I suggest these two lines be added to the Time Submission forms.
    Code:
[B]Number of Pit Stops:[/B] [I]The number of pitstops you made during the race[/I]
[B]Pitting Resume:[/B] [I]The tire setup you chose and if you also added fuel to the car as well[/I][/FONT]
[*]I would also like to suggest there should one mandatory pit stop that includes refueling the car in the Races.

i DID put my pit resume this time (forgot the 1st time) just in case. I was curious on pit strategies of everyone. I picked my cars for wear properties instead of pure speed, and am wondering if it worked.

You know, i was wondering about pit stratagies too...

I only did ONE stop for both of my races, though i didn't think to write that down in my PM...

You dont need to tell me about the pitstop details unless people want me to start showing what everyone else was up to? Tell you what, post in here if you'd like me to add that to the next rounds race results form.

As for the race i came 2nd in both classes by less than 3 seconds!:grumpy:

Dont forget the Stats Page has been updated.

Andy

I say add it. :)

Also I thought I would place well in the GT300, but I guess I should work harder on getting faster times.:guilty:

Congratulations to all! 👍
Nice racing, very close times all around.
I do not mind either way on the Pit stop addition, however that will be more work for ABud if he is ok with it ;)
Either way I will be posting my race info as below :)

This was my line up:
Lancia S4 (2nd)
FTO Race car (3rd)
Astra (5th)
Alfa Romeo (4th)
Falken GTR (6th)

Laps 1-13 RH I had 2 outs on R100 :indiff: I pushed too hard but was able to get back on the tarmac before the hairpin.
Laps 14-23 RM tires stayed on 1st place and lapped the last three cars.
Laps 23-27 RS tires and had my fastest lap was on lap 25!

I tried to switch around the tires to see if I could get better times
Laps 1-14 RH in front RM in the backs
Laps 14-23 RM in the front and RS in the back.
Laps 23-27 RS all around.
But it did not work :grumpy: not sure if it was because I was in a hurry and had to leave! I think I got a 41'42.xxx total time

Wow, I won the Race and got Fastest Lap? Awsome! :D That was a totally unexpected result.

Close race ABud :)

Number of Pit Stops: The number of pitstops you made during the race
Pitting Resume: The tire setup you chose and if you also added fuel to the car as well

Id like to see this also. As for this race, I ran a one stop race on Hard tyres. Pitted once on lap 14 without refueling.

Nah, i got the fastest lap (1'20.718) - i'll swap it for the win tho:dunce:

By the way, I 2 stopped both my races, didn't even have a 1 stop option for the GT500 - Supra burns its fronts too quick.

I'll start including the no. of pit stops in the race results form from now on - dont forget to send me the info tho!

Just like the true SuperGT teams I assume. And I take it you have to be really good to do it on RH tires if that's what you were running.

For my races, I did a 2-stopper with RS tires every 9 laps in GT300 and a 3 stopper in GT500 pitting on Laps 6, 14 and 22.
