General Information and Regulations

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by SuperGT sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (namely me ABud or oldmodelt) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manner.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by GTMSA for each round. Horsepower and/or weight settings are adjusted for competitive reasons each round based on finishing positions from previous rounds.

• Standard Online Racing Rules Apply.
• No Cheating, hybrids, etc. You must run the car specifications I give you
• Try keeping at least 2 wheels on course. Long races = small mishaps, but absolutely NO shortcuts
• No wall-riding as well. Combined with penalties, this will slow you down considerably, so don't do it.
• All decisions by GTMSA officials are final

Sprint Race

• Arcade Mode>>>Single Race>>>World Circuits>>>Tsukuba
• 5 lap Single Race
• Weight penalty in effect
• RM tyres only
• No tyre wear
• AI @ your choice from -10% to +10%
• AI tires always set to RS
• Forced Pit Entry penalty system
• ASM is prohibited TCS is optional
• Gearing (top speed slider) is own choice
• Points: 6pts - 5pts - 4pts - 3pts - 2pts - 1pt
• 20 second penalty added to race time if you dont submit a time
• Top 3 take a 1% weight penalty to the race

I've finished a decent race in each class, and will submit them, but I have a feeling that due to Tsukuba's simplicity, perfection will be required to win in the sprint race. From what I can tell, the GT-R works quite well here, and the Garaiya less so. It prefers high speeds and tends to understeer when braking to enter tight corners, whereas the Zexel displays much less understeer when "diamonding" the corners and can even be "drifted" slightly with a little bit of wheelspin. Since I'm not sure whether we are allowed to discuss lap times, I'll say only that my best lap's T2 was 26.4 in GT500 and 28.5 in GT300.

Not having east submit sure helps us mortals. I feel like I actually have a chance in the GT500 class this week with the weight penalties assigned as they currently are. Of course, that means nothing concerning the rest of the races, where I would be the one laden down with ballast. You're just too consistent, Sagaris, to let anybody but you and east win. 👍

Once again, my Subaru got to follow the ARTA Garaiya train!

I can't make it go any faster. During the race I pull up on the back bumper of the 5th place car and draft, but don't really have the speed to pass this car (usually a Honda Mugen NSX), so I end the race in sixth place. Perhaps a driver change is required.

Actually, I ran a race that was half a second quicker and took over 5th place in the race, but it involved three or four scrapes and dings and was not something that I wanted to post.
