Actually, excluding esh with the 5% penalty, 11s isn't too bad of a spread. The thing about Motegi is that the Celica's got such good low-end power/torque, that it just rockets out of those slow hairpin corners that seem to plague this course.
Where the RX7's strength lies is in its ability to corner at higher-speeds. Only thing is there's 1 place on this whole track that comes into play, The "S-Curve" just before T2, otherwise the RX7 doesn't have the torque to push it out of these tight corners. It's top-end might be better, but how often are you rocketing all the way up to top-6th gear?
Now the CUSCO has the ability to go deeper into a corner than these other two cars, it's brakes are phenomenal. as for getting out, it's kinda in the middle.
Each car has it's strengths and weaknesses. That's partly the key to winning, learning to use the strengths of your car while compensating for the weaknesses. Trust me, the Celica already feels like a pig, and it's already gotten an HP reduction, which did actually bring the field closer together. I can't wait for online racing so I can put a fender into Laz and punt him into a sand trap :evil:
