Rules and Regulations

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by SuperGT sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (namely me ICallShotgun) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manor.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by GTMSA for each round. Horsepower and/or weight settings are adjusted for competitive reasons each round based on finishing positions from previous rounds.

Standard Online Racing Rules Apply.
  • No Cheating, hybrids, etc. You must run the car specifications I give you
  • Try keeping at least 2 wheels on course. Long races = small mishaps, but absolutely NO shortcuts
  • No wall-riding as well. Combine with penalties, this will slow you down considerably, so don't do it.
  • All decisions by GTMSA officials are final

I must be crazy but I can't find the quali results....help! I know I probably came in last with all my added weight and HP restrictions.

Just finished my first complete run, probably using one more pit then the rest of you , this is the only course where I use RS's almost exclusivly because of the short pit length and the 1.5 seconds faster on average over RM's. Although I'll never come close to winning, I'm getting some fairly nice lap times considering my weight . I believe my fastest lap was 1'32.9xx, but that was with a low fuel tank and a nice draft, but my average lap time is more then a second slower. I sure messed up by winning the last race, I'll be at a big disadvantage the rest of the season....It's all yours Laz...again, why don't you run in the GT500 class next season and let those guys deal with you:) Nothing personal buddy!

Does low fuel really affect the weight of the car? I know it does in real life but I didn't know the game accounted for it. Interesting.

I was always sceptical about the fuel weight thingy. I would think that it would require too large an amount of programming to constantly reduce every cars weight as it burned fuel. I've never seen any written proof that the cars get lighter as you run so maybe it's wishfull thinking. A pshycological advantage maybe? But I'm sure someone will post an answer that prooves me wrong. Maybe if you took a car around the test course and consumed a full tank then compared lap times at full and empty.

Times submitted. This is the last course I have any chance of earning points for this season. Good Luck Ya'll !!

Hey ton I like your avatar.

Times submitted.

I couldn't survive a race this week without having at least one drive-through penalty. And my schedule this past week could let me have the chance to get a lot of runs in.:nervous:

If I were a betting man, my money would be on the winning drivers in each class having a claen run for their time submissions this round. Any takers?:D

Well I probably won't win but I've never submitted any race here that had a penalty, Neil and I are funny that way, we could have an off or a penalty on the last lap and stop and start over. It's almost an OCD situation. And when I have the time I'll run the race 5-7 times, improving each attempt, it should probably be illegal running that many times while alot of you only have time for one or maybe two runs.Maybe we should just have a "Gentlemans Agreement" that 3 runs is the maximum. Running many times is a big advantage, sometimes I'll cut as much as 45 seconds off my total time after running 6 times which dissadvantages those that don't have the time. Just my 2 cents.

No time! Sorry! :boggled:

Will pick up the slack in the next round, but at the minute, too tired to race.
Even stopped playing Pro-Street as a short sharp distraction, too anal & can't concentrate to race clean.

Neil

I am a gentleman, only raced once.
We are after the deadline so here are my times:

Total: 61'50.329
Best lap: 1'33.795

4 pit, 4x7 laps RM/RS + 10 laps RH/RM

How You GT300 guys did it?

Ahh right, okay...didn't expect to see this here!

See, until such time as the qualy results are in, I don't expect to see a race thread. So I didn't look for a race thread. Perhaps a side effect of my busy schedule.

I am a little curious how the numbers can be right for the race when we don't have the results of qualy, but anyway...

Mr. Race Admin, given the complete lack of communication regarding the situation here this week, I think it's only fair to extend the Round 7 Race deadline. Without qualy results the only logical conclusion was that the race had been delayed. If you'd expected us to run the race on schedule with possibly incorrect settings, a post to that effect would've been helpful 👍

It is a little bit unfair to look in the threads and not telling us a word about the races, the results, etc.
Somehow you became loose,Chris.
I think the "slight delay" and "waiting for a time" are just bunkums.
You are getting to take away my commitment to JGTC.
Sad to see this series get spoiled.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the quali results have nothing to do with the race settings...the settings are determined by the previous race results...right?

Anyway I'm sure Chris will clear this up, sometimes, as we all know RL takes priority sometimes to the detrement of our racing series.

actually I was waiting for times, but I didn't put up GT500 times. The specs for the race, however, DID REFLECT the results from Qualifying.

And I have not had the time Sunday nights lately to do the results because family has been coming in from out of town (read other states) for spring breaks from college, so family dinners have taken up my times.

I've been having the results up usually monday mornings. It's not the easiest thing in the world to run a series. Results...ALL results...posted.

Wow, Congrats mtbiker:tup: well done. And I'm stunned with GT500. All the frustraition I had trying to get through the traffic on this course thinking to myself "I'm so screwed" and I actually ended up winning.

Thanks for all the cheers but it will be short lived. I think being down 5% on weight has finally caught up to me (and the steward!) After two rounds in a row ( the third time as I did the same in round 3 or 4) of submitting late by an hour or two on qualifying, I put up a good race. The last round I actually would have qualified well but pooched the race seeing as I didn't care too much already being down 10 seconds. I ran the full race on RM front RH rear (actually my pit strategy posted below). I'm really easy on rears but super abusive on fronts! I think I read back when I first joined up someone had been racing on RSS's either in a series or just as training for tire management. Let me tell you I should do that!

Started on RH/RM; Pitted end of lap 11, no fuel, RH/RM; pitted end of lap 21, no fuel, RH/RM; pitted end of lap 32, fuelled to 60/80, switched to RM/RS ran fastest lap in last stint

I could have been easier on the tires through the first stint, but it seems like you eat them up trying to get through traffic no matter what you do. Anywas expect to see my middle to back of pack performace with the added weight. I also ran this past race twice, one run back to back which helped I think. I usually only run once. I should give full race lengths more weight in the future.

Agreed.
I haven't got the time to do it so this one was a one-runner for me.
Maybe for Mid-field I prepare a little bit more than usual.

Sorry Chris, that is seriously not cool.

It's clear from other posts here that I was not the only one who thought the race was delayed, and there was no communication from you either way.

I barely have the time to race as it is, and certainly not when my chances of winning the championship are destroyed by an event such as this :irked: You haven't even commented on the obvious confusion the situation created.

In the interests of fair competition, I again request the race deadline for Round 7 be extended by 1 week.

I've re-read all the posts here, and it seems that the general consensus is that the time be extended 1 week. So that's what's going to happen I guess. I'll take down the Qualifying thread (Only 1 driver's submitted so far) and extend the deadline a week to give EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE another shot at this. If you only got 1 shot at the race, do it again. Midfield will have to wait i guess.

It's a little bit strange decision after publicating the results...

Just to clear up the situation: are the previous results valid or I need to send them again?
