Thank you Chris 👍

As an aside, it's perhaps not impossible to allow for Round 7 race and Round 8 qualy to run side by side, given that qualy takes considerably less time than a race week. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd be willing to make the time to do both this week, to lessen the blow as it were. Might also make those who've finished Round 7 a bit happier...

Just a thought :)

EDIT: Scratch stupid idea above :ouch: (thanks esh 👍 )

But couldn't week 7's race upset the settings already established for week 8 qualifier if more people submit times that failed to before the extension was put in affect?

Uhh...hehe yeah good point. Sorry I had a stupid moment there :O

you all don't have to send times if you have already. But, anyone is welcome to resubmit a better time. Yes, more work for me, but penance as I see it. Those that didn't send one can get their race in, and those that think they can do better (I know GTXDriver is one of them) can try for a better time.

You can be sure that I won't race again in Monaco, I won't go out for a metre neither.👎
I don't like the track and I decided to take a rest this week away from SuperGt.

honestly Laz, me too. Monaco isn't a good track. I hate it actually. Been testing DTM cars, and there's going to be some bad blood in that championship, especially in K-class. :)

This is one brutal track! 2 penalties courtesy of the AI (one of which was the Panoz cutting me off to enter the pits) :irked: I didn't have time to do another run, so time submitted.

Good luck all 👍

I ran the GT300 race earlier thgis afternoon in an attempt to improve on my time, but failed to do so due to a mental miscue on my part putting on RM/RM tires instead of RM/RS in my second pitstop. :O

Was hoping to do the GT500 race as well, but the PS2 I've had since about 2001 was pretty much unable to read the GT4 disc that I have.:( It's been sorta acting up like in the last few weeks, but it's pretty much done now except for probably a good cleaning out on the inside.🤬 I'll get a slimline PS2 later this week so that I can get back in the game for the Qualifying for ther next round. :)

Phew!

Just sent my times in, 1.5 minutes under the wire.
One and only attempt.
Ran RM/RS from the off, pitted L's 8/16/25 and then put RS/RS on at L33.

No penalties, not even close! No spins either.

Gotta say that, even tho I left it till the last minute, and literally left myself with 2 minutes to spare to the deadline.
I enjoyed it.

The step-son sat and watched for the first 45 minutes and walked away shaking his head saying " I have absolutely no idea how you guys can do races this long, without making mistakes! "

"Practice" I replied!

Neil

Chris mate, if you can afford it? Just get a PS3! It's more than worth the extra dosh, and will save you having to get one to play GT5.
Justification? You need a new console now, you'll need a PS3 later to play GT5, why waste the money spent on the slimline PS2?

Just a thought.

From what I've heard, only the 60GB model has the backwards compatability to play the PS2 and PSOne games. I dont know about the current 80GB model though, but the 40GB definitely can not. Add to that, the only places you can get a 60GB model nowadays, are places like amazon.com or some of the video gaming webstores.

That's true mate, but the 60Gb or 80Gb one's are worth the extra for the backwards compatability. (Just confirmed that the 80Gb one's are PS2 compatable)
Check out Ebay, there are still some on there too!

Worth the effort 👍

Must be the new-baby smell, but Neil pulls out the win at Monaco. Congratulations are in order all around.

Results up, and Round 8 Qualifying will be posted shortly.

Why, Thank-you!

Amazed by the result, mainly because I ran it only the once and was under severe time pressures to get it right first time. (couldn't do a re-start)

But, hey! Even a tired old dog like me, gets some sunshine every now and again.

Congrat's to the other podium drivers. 👍

Neil

Congratulations, Big daddy:tup: Got that second wind Eh? and Man, I am very lucky from this weekend.

You guys are in trouble now then. Good thing I'm just in GT500 otherwise I would be crushed in GT300.
