I'm surprised that there still wasn't made a thread about this even though it's been like 2 weeks. During the World Supersport race at Donington a few weeks ago, Craig Jones who is a rider in that series died after the race due to injuries of the crash he sustained.
My understanding is that he lost control of the bike while in one of the high speed turns at Donington (over 200km/h), and fellow rider Andrew Pitt who was behind had nowhere to go but into him and this incident was fatal for Craig Jones who later died at the hospital that night.
For those of you who don't know, World Supersport is a 600cc motorcycle category that acts as a support race for World Superbike. Craig Jones was a potential future star of World Superbike. He got a few podiums in 2007 and 2008 in World Supersport. The motorcycle world lost a valuable rider the day he died. May he rest in peace.
