Surprised no thread on Craig Jones

I'm surprised that there still wasn't made a thread about this even though it's been like 2 weeks. During the World Supersport race at Donington a few weeks ago, Craig Jones who is a rider in that series died after the race due to injuries of the crash he sustained.

My understanding is that he lost control of the bike while in one of the high speed turns at Donington (over 200km/h), and fellow rider Andrew Pitt who was behind had nowhere to go but into him and this incident was fatal for Craig Jones who later died at the hospital that night.

For those of you who don't know, World Supersport is a 600cc motorcycle category that acts as a support race for World Superbike. Craig Jones was a potential future star of World Superbike. He got a few podiums in 2007 and 2008 in World Supersport. The motorcycle world lost a valuable rider the day he died. May he rest in peace.

I just saw the accident a few days ago, 23 is no age to go.

It was at Brands Hatch I think, he'd fallen directly in front of another rider and his head was hit by the front tire of the other rider's bike. I can't pretend to have been a fan of his, but again, 23 is no age to go.

You can see the accident on youtube, it's not graphic or anything but it's never exactly fun to see.

My mistake, it was Brands Hatch, not Donington, you are correct.

I actually follow World Supersport as well as World Superbike pretty close. I can't say I was a big fan of Craig Jones, but rather just a fan of close motorcycle racing that is shown in the Supersport class. So I would say I knew of Craig Jones and what he was doing. I am more of a fan of Brock Parkes for Supersport. I had missed the Brno round (event before the Brands Hatch one), so I was surprised when I saw the Brno one instead of the Brands Hatch when SpeedTV showed it, and in the ticker it said Craig Jones had died. In the Brno race, Jones DNF'd while being in the leaders pack I think, and in the previos race at Imola he finished 2nd. This guy could have been a future James Toseland, you never really know.
