Hi everybody hope you all are coping well with these anxious times we live in.

I have a question for you guys. I would like to purchase a surround sound system to have the full GT experience as it is the only missing component in my setup.
I'm looking for something below 300 euros preferably.
If anyone could advise me on this topic it would be much appreciated.

In case i posted this in the wrong place i do appologize and hope somebody will point me in the right direction.

One model in particular that you may be able to find within your price range is Sony BRAVIA DVD Home Theater System.

You can also find good deals on refurbished stereo equipment.

You can get some decent Onkyo receivers for under 300 euros, though you would have to hunt around for some speakers for them.

Sound advice. Definately go down this route.

As soon as you buy an all-in-one solution you will realise its weaknesses and discover you cannot upgrade it.

Go and research A/V amplifiers and speakers. You'll be amazed at what kit you can pick up new and how cheap some excellent speakers can be picked up used.

Sound advice again, though bare in mind 5 year old AV amplifiers on eBay are more than capable of delivering more performance than you need at a bargain price - assuming you are happy enough to forego the things like being able to run HDMi though the amp, or more than 5.1 channels.

If I had your budget I would not be considering any new equipment at all to be honest.. what you can get second hand is far far better than what you can get new for your budget, and it would more than suffice until you can afford to upgrade to decent (rather than budget) equipment...

Just my opinion of course :)

Just checked eBay, I could basically pick up my current equipment (around £2800 new) for £395 (470 Euro)!

This is sound (pun intended :p) advice. If you're prepared to put some work into sourcing good condition used gear, you'll blow away an equivalently-priced new system.
