Where is the option to "suspend" a race? It's not in the Quick Options/pause menu. It doesn't appear as an option (resume suspended race) when you quit a race and the hit Start.

I've been holding off on doing the long races until now. I break out Kaz' GT-R N24 for the Suzuka 1000k. I get 5 laps in and now I want to go to bed. It's 5:27 am. And I see no suspend function.

Does a specific number of laps need to be reached?

you can see it when you pit in

I read somewhere you need to pit?

there are allready several topics on this.

when you anter the pit you can suspend it

edit: tree'd twice in the same minute

In the 24h of la sarthe there is a suspend button when you enter the pit lane, just near the tire selection spot :) I don't know if it works even with other endurances however...

can u suspend a race and start another race in the mean time without loosing your progress in the suspended race ?

no you can quit the game, and as soon as you start up GT5 again you'll have to continue the race.

Finally!! I can finish the two 24 hour enduros.

Yep, it's there! Even on the first lap. Maybe it'll stop raining while I'm sleeping.

This car is freaking heavy and it cannot be put on a diet! It's 1500k and the GT-500 cars are around 1100.

Wow, you have to actually exit the game and go back to the XMB while it's suspended!

I suspended a race on the 9 hour event on Tsukuba, when I resumed an hour later and now my car is driving itself.

Same here, no control at all and the car driving itself into walls, the ai etc.
PD need to patch this nonsense.

What? This is worrying ... if confirmed, should be a bug to be dealt with immediately.

Wow...I'm doing GVS 300k now. I'm going to try it and see what's up.

I restarted and suspended the race and everything was fine when I resumed this time.

I noticed on my first attempt at restarting the game resumed with my car not in the pit lane, but slightly to the left on the corner leading onto Tsukuba's starting straight, the second time I was in the pit lane.

You litterally have to be in the pit lane like right before you go into your stall. It kinda is hard when the pit lane is so small.

Yeah, I was in the pit lane the first time, but it restarted me to the left. I think the AI took over driving the car as if the entire track was the pit and it was looking for the right place to stop.

I'm just wondering if this works with B-Spec races too?

Why would B-Spec need this feature?

I just used the 'suspend' option on GVS300 and will resume tomorrow to see if it's all OK.
It's a shame that I felt the need to try it because I'm pretty sure the little Caterham can do the whole race without pitting.

For if I want to reclaim my Playstation for a couple of hours to play another game :D
