Lets assume that the good people at SCEA decided to add a feature to GT3 or GT4. This feature is a suspension analyzer. It watches how you play and shows you how to tune your car to your driving style and driving habits.

Would this be good or bad?

On the good side, it would allow you to drive how you like, and have a car that fit your innuendo. It could teach you how to tune the car manually if you want to go beyond what the computer tells you, to CHANGE THE CAR.

The flip side of this is that it would reinforce poor driving habits. I realize that GT players arent professional drivers, but that driving fast is a function of physics. The License tests attempt to coach you to become a better driver through coaching and repetition, to CHANGE THE DRIVER.

So, is it better to make people better drivers, or to show people how to make better cars? There IS a FASTEST way to drive, but there is something to e said for diversity of style. I just wish the AI had some.

What do you all think?

I don't think it would be a bad idea to include it and let people choose. Some of the gamers out there are only playing GT3 for fun (not like some of us where it has become a lifestyle....lol:D ), so they might like it. Personally, I kinda like to set mine up myself, but that is only my opinion. So, to answer your question, no, I don't think it would be a bad idea at all.

Also, one other thing to think about: There are so many different tracks, it might be hard to auto tune a suspension. That is, unless, they saved individual settings from track to track. But what the hell do I know anyway?....lol:D
