SUVs and Races?

so far I guess the only SUVs I have seen are the Land Rover Concept and the Pikes Peak, 2 questions:

1) Does anyone know why GT doesn't have more SUV (they have trucks, nascars, and rally cars, why not SUVs)

2) in previous GT games were there ever SUV races? I guess I was kind of suprised they didn't make them eligible in the Truck race since an SUV is basically a truck!

I know a lot of race fans don't like SUVs and find the high HP ones pointless, but then you can say the same about pickup trucks. Personally I would have loved to see the BMW X5 M and X6 M in the game, along with some other SUVs like the Jeep SRT 8, Audi Q7 TDI (although not much different than the concept). Obviously the Porsche Cayanne Turbo S couldn't be in there unless RUF made their own version. These would have been a lot nicer to see in the game than 15 different RX-7s or Subaru WRX's
 
There are a few other SUVs that appear in the Used Car Dealership and it feels (to me at least) that the lack of an event for that vehicle type was an oversight on PD's part.

yeah, the reason I mentioned rally in the original post is because if they went through the trouble to have rally events and dirt/snow in the game, why not make SUV events with dirt and snow as well?

Or for even more fun have weather changing events that go from dry street driving to snow conditions/blizzard, or part street and part dirt tracks, now that would be fun! you would have to tune your car carefully because you wouldn't want a 700 HP SUV for the dirt/snow parts of it. Tires would be an intersting decision as well.
 
I tried starting a SUV/wagon only server, but it became overrun by Mclarens, Vipers and Formula GTs lol.

Yes, they need more SUV's and trucks and maybe 15 variations of the midget.:lol:

you do realize this is a racing game and some of these SUVs can burn most of the cars in this game, check out track times on a X5 M, it blows away 90% of the cars in this game (stock versions that is).
