Suzuka Track Added To?

I have just noticed (as of last Wednesday) that Suzuka has had a new piece of track added. It is after the Hairpin at Turn 11, a little "Bus Stop" has been added on the RHS and is visble in online lobbies and in practice mode. When penaties are ON the game recognises it as part of the track and you do not get pinged by driving on it.

Who knows about this and how can it be selected to be raced on? Obviously you can race with friends "by gentleman's agreement" but that does not help in open lobbies or with AI.

I also do no recall seeing anything about this in any update notes.

Easy;
1) Put GT5 Disc in PS3 and make sure all updates are done
2) Load GT5
3) Select Practice or open your lounge
4) Go to Suzuka
5) Drive around track and look to right after hairpin turn 11
6) Get back here and tell me if I and 7 of my freinds are tripping ;-)
 
This busstop has been around for quite some time, at least GT4. It is part of the Motorcycle configuration driven at Suzuka and was featured in Tourist Trophy.

Tsukuba also has the motorcycle configuration featured with additional tarmac after the Dunlop corner.

Yes I am aware of Tsukuba and that Suzuka had it in earlier games but this is the first time I have (and my other friends that did not believe me) have seen it in GT5.

It just seems very odd that it has just appeared so close to the end of the game and so I was wondering what the significance might be.

In another few weks no one will care anymore anyway ;-)

It has always been there in GT5.
