I've been trying to win this since I've first gotten the Escudo, and it's turning out to be really effing difficult. It puts me up against three F1's, which are generally faster than the Escudo in a straight line, unless I go behind them and catch their slipstream, and even then, they're faster until around 200km/h or something. Then, the Escudo catches up, and at 335km/h both cars reach their top speed. Obviously, this isn't the worst problem - F1's are made to be blindingly fast on corners, and since the AI doesn't have to play on a freaking PSP, they have throttle control. If I accelerate a little bit on any given corner, the Escudo starts understeering.
The F1's crash in some places. Per example, the third car crashes on the fifth corner most of the times.

I'd love to know if it's just me still being noobish or if I need to better tune my car.

Best time I've got was ~6:02 (the F1s get 5:34 I think).

Also, I guess I'll use this say hi too. I think I might stay here for quite a while. :)

The Escudo, while very powerful, isn't that good on road courses. 6:02 sounds live a very respectable time for the Escudo, but I don't think you will ever beat the F1's on the 'Ring. You could try setting the race to same manufacturer, it in one of the screens when you set up a race. I can't remember which and my PSP has a dead battery here at work so hopefully someone else can tell you exactly where that checkbox is. This should put you up against 3 other Escudo's and you should be able to win.

Yeah I know about that option, but I want to know if anyone here thinks it's possible against the F1's.

I consider it a challenge! :D
