the results are in

1. race'emhard 1.38:459
2. DJ Baker 1.44:971
3. LancerEvo7GSR 1.45:

points standings

1 DJ Baker 19
2 race'em hard 18
3 LancerEvo7GSR 17

next race: the Nurburgring.... oh 🤬

see you then!

Good battle in points! The 'Ring's gonna be lots and lots of fun.

Just as a general tip, race'emhard, it doesn't look good for the series organizer to be cheating. You clearly don't realize what a huge difference six and a half seconds is when a lap is relatively short and the racers are of the caliber you find on GTP. DJ Baker is a fast driver (D2 WRS) and there is no way to be that much faster than him. Please just admit that you were inventing your time and move on, although I don't think people will really want to keep racing in a series whose organizer cheats.

^That'd explain why it was so hard to go that fast and still get beat by 6 seconds...

just because I put a blazing fast time, that doesn't mean I cheated. I will admit, I had my bumper handed to me in El Capitan, doesn't mean I cheated, in fact, I will post a vid on YouTube about the lap sometime, to prove it

Post your tuning mods and setup and we'll try it ourselves 💡

We're still waiting. :indiff: I think it's very clear that either you forgot your own rules about the power/weight/tire/etc. setup of the car  and used a vastly superior car to everyone else's, or you simply made up your time, which I believe is probable. Until you show us something, either your lap (which you conveniently say you will upload to Youtube "sometime") or your setup, I doubt anyone will believe you. And just a tip: nobody who is actually that fast calls their own lap "blazing fast." I've only ever seen cheaters and people who think they're the "gr8est driver evAr," with no awareness that many others are actually better than them, describe their laps that way.

A. There's rules?
B.You can rule out the superior car, mine had R5's, a wing, a full setup and everything, and I can bet the same for DJ Baker.

Oh. I stand corrected! :dunce: I had assumed that the car wasn't in a state of full tuning. So that leaves either the time-invention option, which is still most likely, or wallriding - since you implied there are no rules, I checked the interest thread, and indeed, there weren't; he never said anything about clean racing rules (even when specifically asked), only that NOS was for "cheaters."

I would not doubt that, I will post the setup I used on Costa Di Amalfi on the next results, which will be the 400m dash

Are you saying that the 400m dash is current GSRX/4 event?

Your set-up means nothing to me. Where's the video you promised? It's been a week. Can't you just post your replay file for any of us NTSC users to review.

Please, just post the setup. It will be different than the 400. Nobody will steal it. Race is over. 10mins work tops. It's now a week and a half already! Geez, and I didn't even race. I can imagine how you guys feel.

turns out I don't have the right camera for this, I have a phone, but no connectors for my computer. and on a unrelated note, the Ring race is still going on, I just thought that since there are many opportunities to gain ground, I thought to make the race 2 weeks long. then, 1/4 mile race, then Monaco m'kay.

Once again, how convenient that is for you. :banghead: It may be true, but that doesn't mean you aren't cheating. Since I'm sure you saved the replay, how about giving a detailed account of how you made your time? For example, you could describe cornering speeds, lines, and of course that setup you "never got around to posting."

Haven't been able to beat the time I submitted yet? Does that mean I have more time to improve on it?

I've given up on this series, sorry to DJ Baker, it was fun racing getting beaten by you. :D

However, before getting rid of my Suzuki, I did one final drive. I wallrode at Costa di Amalfi. My time was 1'39.9xx.

👍:D

Since race'emhard never prohibited wallriding, I suppose there is technically no problem with his time. However, I don't think he'll make very many friends with such dirty driving.

Maybe he could team up with gtmaster08. 💡

oldmodelt and Austin343, you aren't even entered, why do you care, besides, the series will end at the ring

We care because we would like to keep GTP a reputable place. Hiding what most would consider to be cheating does not fit into that vision. Also, we care that the competitors in the series are treated fairly and know what's happening; it was unclear how you achieved your time before this line of questioning started. Now, it's very clear.

Reputation is everything. With a little fudging here and there I could always place higher on the leaderboard. But to what end? It only takes one or two times and it's easy to lose that trust and not get it back.
