Imagine enlarging the engine to 1,500cc and adding twin/quad turbo's plus twin intercoolers or supercharging it plus running methanol.That would be absolutely mental .

I'm not sure how you'd get 1000hp out of a 1.5l even running on meth. I'd imagine there was more too it.

Well it is possible to get more than 1,000hp out a a 1.5, just look at the old turbo F1 cars.
But it does say, "rated for 1,000hp" so it might not actually make that much.

BMW's 1,500+++hp 1.5L turbo-charged F1 engines from the 80's used "seasoned" high mileage engine blocks from street motors... from the 60's.
