im a issue with a mustang svt cobra '00. its fully modded, 720 hp and 1350kg~ weight, it was doing fine. but now that i'm doing the professional championship tournament thing, it sucks at handling compared to those built-to-race cars that they put me up against. they are a lot lighter and have like 100-150 less hp than me =/. idk what to do.

ive tried everything and the car keeps UNDER-STEERING. i tried the set up below and even the extreme opposite and everything in between just to try to get the rear to slip out to find a nuetral. =/ is the car maybe just too fast/not aerodynamic? taking corners or curves that the AI takes at are really hard for me because the car wants to drive off the track. (under steer) and the AI doesnt brake much if at all= if do il get left behind, every time. any advice? i really don't wanna give up on this car.

i have soft racing tires and even did the chasis maintenance. and no luck =/.

Try -5/-20 ride height, 14.0/6.2 springs, 9/9 extension, 6/6 compression, and 6/2 sways for a baseline.

Toe angle of 0.20/-0.15, camber at something around 3.0/2.5-3.5/3.0.

Just guesstimates but it should help it a bit. The Cobra R was notorious for understeer in GT4, the above is something reasonably close to what I used to make it finally turn (albeit on sports rubber).

Il try this when I get home. Thanks. Also I forgot to mention i had the rear down force to max o_O everytime, would that mess anything up?

ty, i tried base my tune off ur configuration and was able to place in first in all but one (still won gold for the championship) and thats the nurburgring. the car handles awesome at at corners now. =/ but with no front down force to adjust, it feels like the svt just cant keep up/wasnt made for the nurgburgring. its damn near impossible to stay on track during the S curves going 150 MPH + like the A.I. does.

I beat the Supercar festival with max-tuned SVT Cobra. I didn't mess with the transmission or shocks, just bought the double clutch which makes the shifts really fast.
I smoked a Veyron, Zonda, SLR, Enzo, etc. on the Nurburgring with the humble Mustang which I'm pretty proud of. It took a bunch of tries but afterwards I was so used to not being able to turn that I spun out every time in my '74 Ferrari.

Well I did the super car festival easily too. But get back to me when you do the championship for the pro series :P.

Remember that the Nurburgring is a very bumpy track, so maybe you'll want to adjust your dampers properly. However, I think it won't solve your problems and you don't have much else to do to improve this. Lastly, I suggest you try decreasing the height of the car. If nothing works, you can sacrifice a little bit of cornering power - by stiffening front springs, for example - to improve stability.
