A Swiss-built supercar for the world's super-rich has been unveiled in Vienna.

Berne-based Beck Engineering and Composites has presented its Beck LM 800, an ultra-lightweight constructed from aluminium, magnesium, titanium, carbon fibre and composite materials such as Kevlar. It is said to have a structure similar to that of a Formula One car, with a central 'spine' to its monococque shell to support the engine and transmission, chassis and safety cell. Its hydraulic chassis is electronically controlled, and the car features F1-style telemetry equipment and digital instruments.

Power comes from an Audi-sourced 4.2-litre V8, with a unique turbo helping achieve an output of 650bhp: a seven-speed semi-sequential clutchless gearbox with limited-slip differential is also fitted.

The price? A Swiss banker-league CHF750,000 (around £307,630).

Another F1 like car you can buy? Must be fast. Looks are a little questionable, but it looks like function came before style, which is a good thing, especially for this type of car.

I prefer the Caparo T1, which is like an F1 car for the road.

I think my poo looks better than that, and i do have rather nice looking **** ;)

No, really, i really dont like the way it looks, its ugly as hell, and im sure they could have made it look better without sacrificing performance.

Yup, gotta agree with you, it is waaaayy hotter then this.

Hey now, another cliche supercar.

Fantastic.

I bet $50 they build 3 and then go under.

This car reminds me of the 2003 Orca Engineering C 113. Maybe it's because the front is a square.

It'll probably do just as well too.
