I bought a Honda Civic Type R '08 yesterday and I've only raced it once and it shows that I had 1 switch and I haven't even got out of it to go into a new car? :odd:

Does it put a "switch" on the car the first time you race it or is this yet another GT5 bug?
 
Once you select a car to drive a switch is put on. So if I were to select a car with 0 switches, it will change to 1 afterwards. I think the game considers a switch as selecting a car, not deselecting.

But when I bought the car I switched into it and I haven't switched out...

Doesn't matter. The game counts it as a switch even though you didn't switch to another car.

That basically is the same as selecting a 0 switch car from your garage. You had to switch out of another car to it.
