Switching between A-spec/B-spec during pitstops (not in J-version?)

I've been reading that you can switch between A-spec and B-spec modes during a race. I have the Japanese version and I have never come across an option that lets me do this.

Is it just absent in the J-version or is it in certain races only? Where do I find this option?

You have do a pitstop. Then it will be an option. This has been covered a lot of times, and at least for me, it is faster to do a search than to make a thread. Just teaching you "how to fish", if you know what I mean.

i'm also using J ver. and I never see any option that I can take over the Bspec
 
I can confirm that swapping between a- and b-spec is not available in the Japanese version of GT4.
 
SOOOOO in the NA version if you start an a-spec race and during the race pit in and change to b-spec do you get the a-spec points?

sadly not and in my version (PAL) if you start in A-spec, pit and change to B-spec, when the b-spec driver pits he just sits still and doesn't move until you hit the ok button

must start in b-spec if you're gonna use it !!!

You gotta be kidding! How could PD do that to their own people!?

That's an enormously important aspect of the game. It makes it possible to co-drive an enduro with your B-Spec driver.

Japanese players don't have that option??? That is beyond outrageous!
