System restore

I need some help with this, I installed something incorrectly and now it wont go away so I figured system restore would work. I was having virus trouble back in november so I created a new system restore point somewhere about the 19th. The little calender in the system restore doesnt go back to november, only december. I tried using one of the auto save ones in bold but none of them worked. I open system restore, click on the bold number on the left, and then click on the system restore point that I want to use, eh? I did it like 3 times and none of them worked, what gives?

Do it from Safe Mode.

thanks for the tip, but I actually figured out what was wrong, so instead of doing system restore I think the problem is fixed
