When the fans are starting to run they make alot of noice. Which is normal i think.

But when i play GT5 or F12011 and i take alot of kerbs my steering wheel is vibrating, but when i take a high kerb or something there are "kicks" in the steering wheel and vibrating. when it gets a "kick" the fan noice changes. its like the vibrating hurts the fan. The fan changes in various way. when it get a kick it gets louder or more silent, or a completely diffrent noice or its like its rebooting its self, or its like dieing.

The wheel itself works still fine and its not overheating or something. I am only worried the vibrating kills the wheel. So is it normal?

Just contact Thrustmaster and they will send you a new and improved top cover assembly with better fan that you can swap out yourself. This will not void your warranty and you could ask for reassurance from them, that way you have it in writing at least.

And the normal vibration noise is normal in the beginning since the bearings need to warm up a bit. The reaction to the FFB isn't though.

So good luck! My arrival time for the fan was just 2 working days, but that's cause I'm just 1000 kilometers away from Paris roughly. Which is where the part has to come from.

When my T500RS just start fan,the sound is very strange and terror!!And after a minute,it become normal

For you the same thing, just ask for a new fan. I never hear mine anymore during races. ;)

LogiForce@ so you had the exact same problem?

I bought it and the fan noise was there. Contacted Thrustmaster about the matter and had it fixed within a week. Let me post some correspondence from that time.

Dear Mr. LogiForce,

Thank you for your request. In order to resolve the issue you have encountered with your T500 RS, please refer to our response herewith:

We would like to thank you for your interest in Thrustmaster products and to apologize for this late answer.

We are currently aware that the internal fan of the T500 RS racing wheel can sometimes produce a louder noise than usual.

We have already identified the origin of this situation: the oil inside the fan needs to warm up for a couple of minutes before starting to lubricate the mechanism.

Concerning the solutions we offer at the moment, you need to know that the new fans are sent for free, under warranty, to the customers who accept replacing them by themselves.

Also, the new fans are slightly different, as they come with a better lubrication system which prevents them from being noisy.

If a T500 RS user does not agree to receive a new fan, we will of course have the wheel shipped back to our repair center, so that the fan is replaced by one of our technicians.

Also, opening the wheel up will not affect the warranty, however installing other parts than the ones we supply will.

If you wish, we can send you the new type of fan to replace by yourself, in order to fix the issue.

If you agree, we will need your complete postal address and a copy of the wheel's receipt.

We will also need the Serial Number and the version of the wheel (both located under the wheel base).

In case you have any other questions, please feel free to reply to this email.
