I downloaded and played The Crew closed beta for PS4 with my T500 RS. This is a brand new wheel and my first time and first game with a wheel. I noticed the wheel wasn't centering by itself. Like if you turn right and release the wheel it doesn't center to the middle by itself, you have to turn it by yourself just like a car that doesn't have power steering. Is it normal or does my wheel have problems? If you've played any games with T500 RS, does it center by itself?

The wheel should follow the orientation of your front tyres as it would in a real car. So if you park the car with the wheels not straight then your steering wheel should likewise not be straight.

What exactly were you expecting, and in which situations?

Like when you're driving and taking a left turn, after you turn the wheel to the left and then release the wheel then in a real car the wheel goes back to it's default position by itself. But for me, I have to manually position the wheel.

Depends a bit on how fast and how much grip, but the wheel should certainly start moving towards center. In a real car you can only let go and expect the wheel to self-center when driving out of a very slow corner, anything faster and you want to control bringing the wheel back to center yourself to some extent.... Most sims have quite poor very low speed physics, though, so I guess we all train ourselves to consciously position the wheel.

I have no experience with The CREW beta. It might be something as simple as needing to "reverse" the steering forces, might be simply poor low speed physics, might be something more complicated. Ideally you should be using a preset controller setting for the T500 if such a thing exists.... Do you have the opportunity to try the wheel out anywhere else? For instance via a PC/laptop or PS3 to run a race game demo?

I know in real life it depends on how fast or slow you're going and you still have to turn it by yourself but in The Crew or in any racing games after to take a fast turn it's really hard to turn the wheel back yourself as soon as possible without having any force on the wheel. I don't have any other games to try the wheel with because PS4 doesn't have any other racing games and my laptop isn't powerful enough to run decent games. It doesn't bother me that much if it depends on the game because I don't like the Crew that much anyway but I was worried if my wheel had problems. I'll get DRIVECLUB next week so I'll have a chance o find out. I asked the DRIVECLUB dev on twitter and he replied, "Yes, the t500rs supports full force feedback."
