Besides being the best wheel on the market, and I personally are probably going to buy it, there is something I have been wondering about. The gearshifter was to expensive to be included in the package, according to Thrustmaster. Granted the T500RS is VERY expensive, but how much can a standard gearshifter cost to make. It's a metal rod, a metalplate, some plastic, a wire and some small cheap electronics... And then it hit me. What is the ONLY thing missing from the gearshifter, and no I am not refering to a handbrake (although that would be cool too)? No, this is way cooler and much more important, if I am right. What IF, and this IS a big if, they are planning to release a full force feedback gearshifter. What's the point you may ask... If you use the the G25, and I have, you will notice that when you shift with the clutch, and you let go of the clutch too early, the game throws you into neutral, but the shifter is still in the correct gear position. This is anoying to say the least. A force feedback system would ensure that you will not get the shifter into gear if you let go of the clutch to early. Also the amount of possible gear postitions can be automatically changed by GT5. So a 4 gear car only has 4 possible gear positions. What do you guys think? Would a properly functioning gearbox be desireably?
