Hey fella's, I have bought a T500rs pedal set that I believe can work with the DFGT wheel. If this is correct, am I better to use a DB9M (or F with gender changer) to 6P6C adapter or should I remake the old DFGT pedal-box wire off into the new T500rs pedal set? Also, are there any tutorials/instructionals (wiring diagrams etc) that anyone knows of to help me to do this? Cheers, Rob.

Heya,

A while ago I did a Thrustmaster pedal swap with the DFGT wheel. I made this topic aboout it :

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/dfgt-thrustmaster-pedal-mod.300522/

Because you've also a clutch pedal, the DFGT hasn't this function so you can't use it. And from my opinion, a litlle bit too expensive pedal set for this 'budget' wheel.
Oh, and yes, you have to open up the pedal set and do the right connections. I don't know what the codes are from thrustmaster. Good luck with this job !! :)

Hey Yukino, I did see your forum post on that previously, but realised it is only for brake and accelerator, without clutch. So it is definitely impossible to run a clutch with this wheel?

For GT6, yes, it's impossible.

For pc-gaming no, it's not impossible I think. there are a few vid's on Youtube with modded DFGT's.

Maybe you can connect the potentiometer (pot) of the T500 clutch to the USB controller of a cheap (second) wheel. So the T500 clutch will run as the gas or brake pedal of the cheap wheel. Something similar like I did, see here. In the game you can configure the second gas or brake pedal (= T500) as a clutch. Will only work on a PC though.

Maybe it is possible to make a kinda-clutch, that could work with pc & ps3 ?!

Okay, I'm not experienced with electronics to make my own DFGT + clutch , but this is the idea.

I know there's an electronic solution to disconnect an electronic circuit by pushing a button or tweaking a volume-ish switch. It just the opposite thing of what you used to do with that sort of 'button's.

So, you can use the clutch pedal to disconnect the throttle pedal for a short while. The shorter you push the clutch, the more you have the same feeling of clutching the right way. But I'm not a fan of it. A, because you don't need to clutch with a sequental gearbox. It makes no sense. B, sequental gearboxes are more common in autosports nowadays than the traditional gearboxes. Driving one of my favourite cars in gt6, the Megane Trophy, I don't see the benefits or needs to clutch. The paddles behind the wheel (GranTurgismo) are my friends for almost 2 years now. I truly love them :D
