Unfortunately I pinched the throttle cable which runs from the throttle potentiometer. While pinched the throttle was not responding either in the control panel when connected to my laptop or when playing GT5 on PS3. After undoing the bolt the throttle started working and appears fine, however the clutch is not working at all in GT5 and the brake is binding on or coming back on when playing GT5.

Has anyone had this problem before and resolved it. Once resolved I will be fitting some protective sleeve into the pedal set to prevent the cables slipping in front of bolt holes.

I have been dealing the Thrustmaster Customer Services, but I have updated firmware, software etc.

Also the brake pedal is playing up at the moment, but it has misbehaved occasionally in the past and getting it to calibrate correctly seems be an almost completely random event.

I did this to my pedals. Thrustmaster sent me a new potentiometer and wires. I had to solder the new wires onto the pcb by the brake pedal. The parts cost like $15

After you have replaced the damaged parts , check that the nuts that secure the potentiometers stay tight. I had a bad spiking problem and even though the nuts werent loose , I found that to snug them up stopped the spiking.

If the spiking or consistency remains a problem , try rotating one of the gears to a new position relative to the rack gear on the pedal and recalibrating. The black plastic gear on the pot can be slid off the shaft , rotated one or two teeth and meshed back into position.
