Unplug the wheel from the PC.
Uninstall the thrustmaster software from your computer.
Plug the wheel back in the PC and go into Devices and Printers.
Find the wheel in that list of items.
Right click on it and select “Game controller settings”
In the box that comes up, highlight the wheel and click the Properties button.

You should now see the default properties for the wheel and whether buttons, pedals, etc. do anything when moved.

If nothing moves or lights up, this might be a driver issue. Report back what you find. Doing the above get's around their software generating an error and kicking you out.

Will do that now. I'd do it quicker but the S mission races on GT6 are brilliant!

Plugged in,

Okay png don't look to be supported. But anyway

Plugged in, let windows find a driver and there's nothing about T500RS.

You clicked on the wrong thing. ;)

This is the first step to determine if it's some kind of driver issue. The issue is likely that you will need the driver/software that goes with the firmware on that beta wheel. I don't know where to get it, you might try asking the guy you bought it from.

I called thrustmaster and they said the specs are the same as the production models? You can see the wheel is near identical, and it works with GT5 fine. I think there's a permissions issue with my computer. I'll try what you just suggested

Dont mean to be a dick but I think you got scammed buddy. The T500rs is AMAZING compared to a G27. At 10 it should be almost tearing your shoulder out of socket if you hit a wall or spin out. I play around 4 or 5 and its still 2-3 times more feed back than G27 at 10. Also it was plag and play to my PC and that is using Windows 8 :nervous:. I would not be surprised if when you go back to the place your bought it there is a Dry Cleaner to Chinese Take Out there now 🤬.

Maybe it needs a special proto firmware? The fact that it works in GT is super interesting, I bet it's like a Day 1 T500, if you go back and read some early reviews it sounded like it was pretty brutal FFB wise!

I'm going to try with GT5 today properly. The wheel isn't broken...

I have a brand new T500RS and I run 10 FFB in GT6. I've never felt like it was going to tear my shoulder out of its socket or twist my finger or anything. Now I have played Iracing and the FFB in that game even on 25% is freaking strong!

Any more suggestions for this? The wheels comes up in Devices and Printers but not in the T500RS control panel...

Sell it to me and i'll figure it out. That's my suggestion. Seriously though, i'd be willing to purchase this off of you at the right price since you seem to still be having problems. Or i'll trade you my standard CSR and some cash.
