Hi,

I would like to be able to use the table and associated tags in comments. As in the following:

Row 1 Col 1Row 1 Col 2Row 1 Col 3
Row 2 Col 1Row 2 Col 2Row 2 Col 3

However, it does not seem that they are supported. If there is some easy way to enable this, I would be appreciative. Alternatively, if there is already support for tables and I am just doing it wrong I would love to know the right way.

As far as I can remember, tables / table tags have been disabled here since they can really mess up the styling of the boards. I think its been this way for a few years now.

How about using a List and indenting?

Or you can create a table in Word/OpenOffice, take a screenshot of it, and insert it.

As daan and Spock have already mentioned and referenced, table tags cannot be enabled here because their incorrect usage breaks the layout of the site.

If you use the CODE tag, it changes to a monospace font that preserves additional spaces instead of compressing them, allowing you to lay the information you want up by hand in a word processor (using a monospace font like Courier) and then paste it into the board post surrounded by the CODE tag at the top and bottom.

One thing you could always do is take a screenshot of an Excel table and post the image...I don't recall, but I think I did that once or twice during the BC6.

I think what will work best for what I have in mind is to use nested lists. A tabular layout would be much better but the priority is being able to copy and paste into a comment and have it be laid out reasonably.
