Got a question about a Tach install on this engine.

The Nova has a 4A-C with a coil-in-cap distributor. It has a green wire leading off of the distributor, capped off with a weatherproof cover. I'm wondering: is this the signal line for a tach? or not?

Secondly: where's the stock redline for the engine?

Stock redline is 6000.
There should be 3 wires coming off the distributor. The first two are basically the distributor circuit, and are in a single connector. The third (it's blue on mine, maybe green on yours), comes out near those wires but has its own connector. This is just a service connector for checking ignition. It should be going to nothing.
