Tactics or just stupid?

Just sharing with you what hapened to me in 10 laps Brand Hatch GT3 Race (Sportmanship 'S').
I was about to winning the race (the 2º was 3s behind), and before the last turn, one guy was going slow (the last one in 18th).
When approach him... well you can see:



Was he just stupid? or was a tactical move to let his friend to win the race? Probably just stupid.
 
Probably "just" stupid as people can't deliberately join the same sport mode race.

I know it's impossible for the game to detect when people do this, but people that do this deserve to be banned permanently. Sorry your race got ruined by a jerk
 
I would say he wanted to "help" his friend.
Had a similar incident where a guy waited at the finish line to block me... When I asked him why he told me for his fellow brit who I drove through instead of overtaking him... (he was ghosted after an accident... )
Makea no sense at all...and is a story of its own. But proves that they communicate or somehow team up. Which I find totally irritating...
 
You got robbed, anytime you run into someone like that ram him off. I would've went very inside unto green pavement and forced him left and blocked the guy behind me if he caught up.

Well my way of playing is clean, and I don't let this guys change it.
Of course in a private race this guy would be banned.

I'm very clean too, if I earned the race for first place(like you just did) and someone attempted that against me then tough luck for him. He's going flying in the sand.

That won't work because if OP hits them too hard, they will get a 10 second penalty.

You have a saved replay, report that player to PD along with the evidence. Keep on racing and adding to your arsenal recognition of troll driver behavior to prepare for and deal with. As long as you aren't reactionary and learn to roll with the punches these guys can only do so much anyway.
 
I will just dive bomb lapped traffic if they don't get out of my way immediately. Too many people who are malicious or oblivious to chance it otherwise.
