Special Stage Route 11.

I'd say Downtown LA. Always remided me of that. Just missing the iconic buildings.

I'd say that Grand Valley would be somewhere in the US, possibly near the Colorado mountains.

I know Deep Forest is in Germany, and Trial Mountain is in Scotland. My guess is that the SSR's are in Japan or the West Coast U.S.

SSR7 is definitely based on the Tokyo Bay Highway, so I would say all SSR tracks are based on locations in Tokyo. I would've said Deep Forest is in Germany too, but now with the enhanced graphics I'm not sure anymore. I guess the tracks are more or less all not based on a specific location.

Except for Trial Mountain, that's in Croatia (hi amar ;)).

Trial Mountain has a monkey, and a large lake with a prehistoric monster, which makes it a little hard to place.

I remember reading about some lake monster in Africa (perhaps the Congo) so perhaps it's there?

The SS-Routes are based on Tokio´s city highways....not really hard to guess.

But tracks like Trial Mountain, Deep Forest, Midfield Raceway and other could be everywhere....because it´s fictive.

?? I dont understand what you said?

Left-click and drag you rmouse over the box for "hidden" text, not really a spoiler though but nice that people try to hide stuff!

As for Loch Ness, pretty sure there are no monkeys in Scotland, not in the wild anyway. A few primates the streets of Glasgow on a Friday night but that's different.

Cape Ring always makes me think of South Africa.
Probaly the name and the greeny-ness of the hills.

Grand Valley I always think the US.

Deep forest is kinda like the UK. And Trial Mountain is somewhere where monkeys live.

High Speed Ring is surely in Germany. The layout and the overall feel of the track reminds me of Lausitzring or the Avus. LOVE IT :D.

both are in japan. grand valley is run on every "japanese" event, like the 80s/90s series. the endurance race all the "usual opponents" are japanese vehicles. el capitan from gt4 was clearly stated as being from the US; yosemite/yosimeti national park if im not mistaken

i have always seen trial mountain and deep forest as PD versions of the ring before the hardware could handle to include it.
high speed ring for sure german.
midfield and apricot hill im just assume is japan because everything else is. probably so are autumn ring and cape ring.

Deep Forest = Germany, based on the fact that in GT2, Deep Forest was used during the Euro National races, and the track was decorated with German flags.

Trial Mountain = South Africa, because of the monkey. I used to think Great Britain, again because in GT2 this track had British flags associated with it, Problem is, there are no mountains or monkeys in the UK as far as I know. SA was a colony of the UK if I'm not mistaken, which explains the British flags in GT2.

Grand Valley = France, again in GT2 this track was associated with France during the Nationals.

Special Stage Route 5= Vancouver B.C. (Canada)
Route 5 passes all the way up the west coast of America and passes thru Vancouver, but since Route 5 has metric system on some of its signs, it must be in Canada

Autumn Ring = western Pennsylvania (USA) Look at the foliage! Look at the rolling hills! Gotta be Pennsylania or Maryland.

Cape Ring = South Africa again, just 'cause of the name.

SS5 has been comfirmed in japan because of the highway system there. as has the new ss7, people actually drive down these roads in japan and have recognized them.

as for autumn ring we have hills here in canada, specifically ontario, and we have colorful trees in the fall but autumn ring is not in ontario.

The Special Stage Route X circuits are not based on actual roads the way Tokyo R246 is, but rather inspired by them.

Agreed, first thing that poped in my mind from ssr7 was wangan. After the second 180 turn where it starts going downhill and the slight left after it if that isn't the wangan I don't know what is.

Surely it can't be in Scotland, it's not pissing down with rain.
 That's an idea that would grab my vote for next track update.....Trial Mountain with weather change...HOW AWESOME !
Sorry to venture o/t, but would weather change be a huge update per track..? Just curious. 👍

I always got the sense that Complex String would be in Germany, as well as the test courses, especially since Volkswagen has that massive one.

As for Parnelli's idea that Autumn Ring is in Western PA, I can say as a native of Pittsburgh that Autumn Ring always seemed like Japan to me.

I also always thought Ice Arena was somewhere in Canada.
