Taking revenge in online races

Have you ever taken revenge on an unfair racer in an online race?
Normaly I am all for clean racing, but when you get spun out on a nascar race in Daytona by the same guy 3 times in a row just because he does not want a clean race, even spoiling his own winning chances by it because you and him were leading the race with the rest of the field beyond drafting range, I went furious. In the 3rd race when he again tried to punch me into the wall 4 times I drafted up to him on the 2nd to last corner and spun him out.

Is there any way to guarantee clean races? The online mode seems set up so awkwardly, that its realy hard to notice for the host if a spoiler is on his lobby.
 
just vote to kick the player ... it's much easier
 
The best way to guarantee clean races, is to invite friends or known clean racers. If you leave it open for all, expect one fool to come in and cause carnage.
There will always be contact, but deliberately doing it gets on my goat.

You can change the settings, turn on penalties to max, driving line off, this should help.
 
people like that are just douchebags and should get kicked.

was just on top gear track drivin my rsc s800 honda race car and some guy is purposely ramming me off the track in his mustang for no reason, i ended up just getting out the good ol tank car and pinning him into a corner until he reset and did it in another car to someone else, then he got kicked
 
Im not saying that people who use aids are inherently bad drivers, but I get alot more clean racers in my room with all aids and driving line turned off.
Again, not a slur against people who use the line/TCS.
 
It seems to be the popular thing on online races now. I'll admit I've had some very clean races, but my online races pretty much consist of me getting out front and staying there, my motivation being so I can't get punted off.

I've been punted off once or twice at the start of the race, especially at the Nurburgring, and when I've come through the field on a few ocassions, there is always that one person who is slower than you, who leaves the outside open on a fast bend, so you get side by side with them, and then they straighten up and push you onto the grass. It does get annoying, but what can you do?
 
I use some aids but I like to think of myself as a clean racer. Rubbing or trading paint is all part of racing in certain events. I've even taken part in some very clean online drift lobbies.

I wouldn't think twice though for taking revenge on anyone that took me out of a clean race. Especially if there was no fair way to get back into it.

But I agree to put heavy damage and heavy penalties on to deter them.
 
Only once have I did this and that was on Forza 2, We had a full lobby racing Motegi speedway. My brother and I were battling for the lead and went into a corner side by side. Both of us slowed so as not to hit each other in the corner and this idot comes up and muscles his way between us pushing my car off the track and into the grass.

I would have been ok if he would have said, sorry bout that or somthing but nothing. I hammered down, chased him for 8 laps or so and caught him in the final corner on the last lap. I took the inside line and pancaked him into the wall hard. I won the race my brother finished second. Muscle man finished last and left the room on his own.

btw normally I race as clean as possible.
 
This isn´t Mortal Kombat. So, no revenges for me. All i care is racing plain and fair.
 
Nascar on Daytona is the worst for it, people don't want you overtaking them (which is stupid as they'd then be able to draft and catch you) so they slam you into the wall.

Only slightly less annoying than the berks who join, reverse and then start flying round backwards trying to take people out.
 
I've not yet had a clean race, even in a game titled 'clean driving' I still got rear ended and leaned on round corners. And yes I sought revenge :)
 
I had an incident one time in which i was in a room with a group of people on SS11 or that super long night track. Anyways, i was in a GT-R Spec V fully tuned and starting from the line, obviously the GT-R took off like crazy. Unfortunately, with the intense speed, i bumped into the back bumper of one of the cars. As a fair player, i decided to let off the throttle and fall into the back of the pack. Once that happened, one of the guys starts screaming and calling me a dirty racer, etc. On the long stretch, apparently they got butt hurt and all of them ended up trying to double team me through slipstreaming and banging me up on the sides. After a while, i couldn't take it anymore so i started to bump them back.

The funny thing was, i had the most underpowered vehicle compared to what they had (a couple of le man supercars and one of them had a Mazda Furai)

I always try to race as clean as possible, and if i do accidently hit someone, i always back off the pedal and let them pass as a courtesy cause.

Too many people online are sore losers.
 
Bumper cars is kinda fun :P. Although only in designated lobbies.

I'm a very clean racer, after all, I do hold a racing license, and it really ticks me off when people purposly ram you out of the way, like when you're on the line, and they don't bother to brake, ram you, and then take the corner, and you're left in the sand trap. It also kind of annoys me when people can't drive their cars properly either, and are all over the place... If you're going to race, at least use a car you can drive.

I believe that if you hit someone, you should let them repass you, yeah a dirty over take where you focre them to either back off or go in the sand is fair play, but contacting and pushing them isn't, and I believe if you go off track and get ahead, you should also give the place back, there should be contact penalties of 4 seconds or so, and shorcut penalties of about 6 - 8.
 
I was in a clean room of 140 hp racers and we opened it up to 200 hp to allow more people in. A guy in a Civic kept cutting the tight esses in the Nurburg short course. Even with the penalty, he still could get top time. Drove like crap and most of us with 140 hp could catch him everywhere else. So the room turned on him and spun him out until he left.
 
In most games I'd usually fight fire with fire, but I don't think anyone should be mistaken for a dirty racer when people don't know you're just getting 'revenge'.

Just find some friends here, there's plenty of clean racers. Add them to your friends list and get some private racing on the go. It's the best way!
 
I have retaliated a few times, But I always try to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the contact was an accident, so i'll continue racing clean until its clear that there are racing dirty. If I can pass cleanly I will try, as that shows them how much they really suck. But If they're hell bent on ruining everyones race and wont allow a pass then they're fair game.
I usualy regret doing it though.

I've also had a few instances where the dirty driver after the race trys to pin eveything on you, when they were clearly crashing into everyone at every corner possible. Silly kids.
